Office of Board of Public Works 4 � City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday March 28th, 1927 The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday March 28th 1927, at 9 o !clock A. M. All the members of .said Board, Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being .present. The following, proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear all person's interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 826-1927, for the improvement of. Southwest 1st Street, by constructing rolled stone foundation- where needed and re-surfacing the present .roadway with one of the following kinds of materials; Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt, Asphaltic Concrete or Emulsified Asphal .tic Concrete from West Main Street to National Road. After hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under .Improvement .Resolut"ion No. 827-1927, for the im- provement of National Road, by re-setting back the present stone curb 2ft. on each side, constructing new curb where needed between Southwest 2nd & _ 5th Street, grading and paving the roadway with one of the modern city pavements, to-wit : Re-inf,orced Concrete, Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt or Brick,' from;. Southwest 1st to 5th Street . After hearing all persons interested who appeared, . the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be as- sessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as re- ported by the City 'Cavil Engineer less the amount the city agrees to pay, (tlie city agrees to pay the cost of the street & alley intersections, the cost of re-setting the curbs and 10% of the cost of paving adjacent to the property. , ) and thereupon take . final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed with-., out modification The City Attorney was instructed to prepare agreement between the City and New Hotel Company, that said company will set back with new hotel 15 feet on Soetth "A" `st and 5 feet on South 9th Street, and not to place any obstructions which may interfereewith future widening of streets, City Attorney also instructed to prepare a. legal ,opinion as to whether the city can widen Ft-Wayne Ave. and allow present buildings to remain until re-constructed. Street Commissioner was ordered to clean the sewerdn North 12th St . at old corn mill. Claims in amount of 07706.33 were allowed. . The Board then adjourned, P e . of Board Attest : . of Boa d
