The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday March 24th, 1927; at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of .said Board, Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being _present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 823-1927, for the improve- ment of the alley between North 6th & 7th,Street, by constructing a cement roadway the full width thereof, from North "A" to "C" Street . After hearing all persons interested who appeared no one remonstrat- ing. The Board being fully advised in the premises, decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested or 'whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No-. 824-1927, for the improve- ment of North 12th Street , by constructing cement sidewalks 6ft . wide on west side of street, from the P. 0. 0. & St. L. Railroad tracks to North "J" Street. After hearing all persons- interested who appeared no remonstrance having been filed against said improvement. The Board decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for _ said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said reso- lution, the same being confirmed without modification. - The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 825-1927, for the improve- ment of East Haven Avenue, by constructing cement sidewalks on both sides of street 6 ft . wide, from the National Road to the Peacock Road After hearing all persons interested who appeared, and carefully con- sidering the request by property owners the walks be made 5 ft . wide instead of 6ft . wide, The Board after viewing said street, decide that the walks be made five foot wide instead of six and decide that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed by modifying the same to read five foot sidewalks. The Board unanimously' adopted Improvement Resolution No. 831-1927, for the improvement of the alley between South 10th & llth Street, by constructing cement roadway the full width thereof, from South "I" to I/ "J" Street. Permission was granted Rudolph J. Schuerman, to co .struct:ioement curb & gutter on south side of North "0" Street bet . North -14th. & 15th St. .butting Lot 523 E. Starr 's, Addition. Carious complaints from council were reported to the Board, together with petition from Bealview Get Together Club, taken under advisement. Claims in amount of $6678.43 were allowed. J. F. & E. B. Bartel, were granted permission to construct new building at 6th & Main Sts, on present line, bui-the City does not re- linquish any part of street occupied by new building.
