Thursday March 17th, .1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
*in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday March 17th,
1927, 'at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Land, McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 819-1927, for the improve-
/ . ment of Southwest 10th Street, by constructing cement curb & gutter
(standard width) cement sidewalk 5' wide on both sides of street,
and grading and paving the roadway with Tar Macadam from West Main
Street to the National Road. After hearing all persons interested
who appeared and carefully considering a remonstrance signed by 4
resident property owners, it having been determined and• reported by
the City Engineer that there is 8 resident property owners residing
along the line of the improvement . The Board overrules the remon-
strance, and decide that the benefits to the property liable to be
assessed for * said improvements are equal to the cost of same, and
. thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being con-
firmed without modification.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 820-1927, for the improve-
ment of Boyer Street, by constructingcement sidewalks 5' wide,
• cement curb & gutter (standard width) on both sides of said street,
and grading and paving the roadway with gravel and macadam, from
School to Stevens Street. After hearing all persons interested who
appeared. The Board decide that the benefits to the property liable
to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same
as reported by the City Civil Engineer. And thereupon take final
on said resolution. The same being confirmed without modification.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected'under Improvement Resolution No. 821-1927 for the improve-
ment of Ridge Street; by constructing cement curb & gutter* (1 ' wide)
on both sides of street and paving the roadway wits one of the fol-
lowing kinds of modern city pavements, to-wit : - Sheet Asphalt, Rock
Asphalt, " Concrete or Brick, from Grant to School Street. After hear-
ing all persons interested who appeared and carefully considering a
remonstrance signed by 10 resident property owners, the- City engine-
er having reported there are 20 resident property owners residing
along the line of said improvement. The Board overrules said remon-
strance, ' ard thereupon decide that the benefits to the property li-
able to be assessed for said- improvements are equal to the cost of
same as reported by said engineer, less the ramount which the City
will pay' i.e. The City agrees to pay the cost of street & lley
I/ . intersections, and 10% of cost of curb, gutter & paving roadway.
The Board on motion unanimously confirm said resolution without
modification.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected-under Improvement Resolution No. 822-1927, for the improve-
ment of alley between South 9th4 10th Street, from South "B" to " C"
Street, by constructing cement roadway therein between points named,
No one appearing or remonstrating. The Board decide that thet0ropers
liable to be assessed for said improvement are e .ua.l to c st And
he same B thereupon take final action on said resolution, toeing
confirmed without modification.

The Board instruct the Engineering Department , to prepare plans
specifications and resolution for improvement of Ridge Street
from Grant to Charles Street, as petitioned for March 7, 1927.
A petition for improvement of the alley between South 10th & llth
Street, by constructing cement roadway, from South " I" to "J" -
Street was received and referred to Engineer, for investigation - •
• and report .
A petition for improvement of alley between Ridge & Hunt Street11
by constructing cement roadway from Maple Street south to 1st
alley north of Linden Ave. , was received and referred to Enginer
for investigation & report . .
The Board received bids for materials and equipment for Muni-
cipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant as per advertisement as
follows : to-wit :
