Thursday March 3rd, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board 'Thursday, March• 3rd
1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Land, McFall and Henley -being present. The following proceed-
ings were had, to-wit :
The Clerk presented petition signed by a majority of the resident • -
Properyowners praying that Southwest 1st Street and National Road
from Main to West 5th Street, be paved with concrete, under Im-
provement Resolution No. 810-1926, the above resolution having •
been rescinded by the Board, the petition was ordered. placed on
file.
The Board approved the contract & bond . of Lee Ridgeway, contract-
or mnder Improvement Resolution No.2l-I--1926.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 826-1927
providing for the improvement of Southwest 1st Street , by constructing
' rolled stone foundation where needed & resurfacing the roadway
with one of the following kinds of meter. ials; Sheet Asphalt, Rock-
Asphalt, Asphaltic Concrete or Emulsified Asphaltic Concrete, from
West Main to national Road.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 027-1927,
for the improvement of the National Road, by widening the roadway
2ft .• on each side by re-setting the present stone curb back 2 ft .
between Southwest 2nd & 5th Streets, and constructing cement curb
where needed, grading and paving the roadway with one of the modern
city pavements, to-wit : Re-inforced.-0oncrete, Sheet Asphalt, Rock
• Asphalt or Brick from Southwest 1st Street to Southwest 5th Street .
The Board received report of appraisement of Whiteley, property at
Northwest 1st & Kinsey Street , for so much of same as is desired
to widen street at said corner, signed by Messrs, Thos . Whelan,

LJesse A. - Bailey, fixing the damage to- said. lot at
(1'' O. 00 plus sidewalk, curb & gutter

The Board accepted plans and specifications, for necessary materials
for raising roof at M.E. L.& P.P. and One 25 ton Traveling Crane,
also One 4 cyclinder Roadster with metal slip-on Body, for light
plant & order advertisement for bids on same.
The Board 'sign contract with Garfield Dixon to furnish all neces-
sary tools and laboE in raising the roof at- M. E. L. & P. P. at
80G per hour for laborers furnished, plus 0 . 50 per hour for fore-
man furnished, plus 42.50 per h ur for trucks, prices to cover cost
of rental of tools, cribbing, scaffolding & . gild-up trusses at a
maximum cost of 41500.00.
The Board approved the various payrolls up to March 1st , 1927. .
The Board then adjourned,
