Monday February 28th, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday February
28th, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board,Messrs,
Land, McFail and Henley being present : The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :-.
I/ The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
primarily assessed under- Improvement Resolution No. 816-1927, for
construction of sanitary sewer between South llth & 12th Street,
from South " I" to "J" Street, also 14O ' east & west in South " I"
Street , from above mentioned sewer. After hearing all persons pres-
ent who appeared. The Board approved a final assessment roll con
firming the original assessment roll heretofore approved." and now
direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Financ
The Contract & Nond of Lee. Ridgeway contractor under Improvement
Resolution No. 814-1926, was referred to City Attorney.
The following letter wat .received from Indiana Gas .Utilities Co. ,
Was received, viz:
. Our six inch low pressure gas main lies under the Talk on south
side of National Road west . It is necessary to move this line out
into the street . Any damage to sidewalk caused by tunneling under
• . the same, will be immediately repaired by this company upon due
notice from the City ' s Engineering Uenartment . (The same was ordered
placed on file.

Appraisers appointed by the Board to appraise property on South" A"
Street between 4th & 7th Street , Messrs, Wm. S .White, 'W .Olen Hamil-
ton & Jesse A. Bailey, reported as follows : Foreman property S.4th
& " A" St . Total 4p5, 000.00 or 15500 00 for 20ft . south side of propel
South 5th & " A" Schnoing property- Total "MCI-, 000.00,Property corner
South 6th & " A" Farling property -$3000.00 land & damages to re-
• maining property, Property east of Ferling property on south side
of "A" " St . between 6th & 7th Sts . $100.00 for land to be taken.
The property owners residing on Maple Street between Ridge Street
and C.R. & I .Reilroad., presented remonstrance againstoim roving stree
In matter of Improvement Resolution No. 818-1926, for improving of
Southwest 1st Street , from Main to National Road and National Road
from Southwest 1st to 5th street , by paving roadway, widening' road-
way on National Road and re-setting curbs from 2nd to 5th Street,
for which oids had been received on February 17th 1927, on account
of error in said resolution, was on motion unanimously rescinded
and the City Engineer instructed to prepare plans for said improve-
ments the same to be made in two separate improvement resolutions .
• Claims in amount of P566.. 77 were allowed.
