The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
• met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
rebruary 17th, 1927, at 9 ooclack _ A. M. All :the members • of
said Board, Messrs, Land, MicFail and Henley being present the
following proceedings were had, to-wit :-
A petition for improving Ridge Street, by constructing cement
curb & gutter on both sides & paving the roadway, from Grant
to School Street, was received and referred to engineer for
investigation & plans, etc. ,
A petition for improvement of the alley between South. 9th &
10th Street , by constructing cement roadway from South "B" to
" C" Street was received and referred to engineer for plans .
Complaint from Chas. Johanning was received, as to city dumping
ashes in alley between South 5th & 6th Street at South "M" St .
referred to Street Commissioner. •

Wm. Bockhoff, appeared before the Board .requestirlg that gravel
. be place in the holes in South "N" Street, referred to Street
Commissioner, with orders to place gravel.
The Clerk was directed to _notify 1+ulghum _to' cut the hedge
at _his place on National Road at West 16th Street.

The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 819
1927, for improvement of Southwest 10th Street, by cement -sidewalks
curb & gutter moth sides & grading & paving roadway with tarvia
macadam, from Main Street to National Road.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution NO. 820-1927
for improvement of Boyer Street, by constructing cement sidewalks .
curb & gutters on both sides and grading & paving roadway with
gravel & maca.daM, from School to Stevens Street.
The Clerk was directed to write W.F.Graves,,C hef Engineer of
T .H. I . & E.Traction Co. , as to removing switch in national Road
between 3rd & 5th Street .
The Board received bids under Improvement Resolution No . 814-1926.
for improvement of Grant Street, by constructing 11-1 f t . walks,
curb & gutter on both sides of street , & graveling roadway, from
Bridge Ave, to Ridge Street, as follows to-wit

The bid of Lee Ridgeway, being the lowest received and being
within the estimate of City Engineer, the contract was so awarded,
The Board received bids under Improvement Resolution No.bl8-1927,
• for improvement of Southwest 1st Street and rational Road, by paving
roadway on Southwest 1st Street, from Main to National- Road; also
paving National Road from Southwest 1st Street to Southwest 2nd St .
Also wideEing roadway on the National Road 2 ' on each side, con-
structing cement curb & gutter 1 wide on both sides, and paving
roadway to Southwest 5th Street , with one of modern city pavements
Re-inforced concrete-Sheet Asphalt-Rock Asphalt or Brick, between
the points named , as follows to-wit :

The Board on motion designate said streets be paved With
Sheet Asphalt, and make preliminary award of contract to The
Andrews Asphalt Paving Cp. , of Hamilton, Ohio, as per their
bide lz" binder 1" surface Sheet Asphalt on 6" concrete
base at $2.86 per square yard.
Payrolls' to February 16th, 1927, were allowed;
Claims in amount of $7417. 60 were allowed.
The Board direct the Street Commissioner, to make connections
at residence at corner of glen Court and 23rd Street, for gas
account Of digging up gas main in Glen Miller Park by him in.
excavating for new road in park.
