.Thursday January 20th, 1927. •
The -Board of Public Works of. the City .of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday January
20th, 1927, at 9o 'clock A.N. All the members of said Board,Messrs,
Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had, to-wit : -
The- Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property
is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 818-1926, for the
improvement of Southwest 1st Street , from West Main Street to
National Road, also National Road from Southwest let to 2nd Street
by paving the roadway with either Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt,
Re-inforced Concrete or Brick, 'Also, National Road by Widening-
the roadway 2 ' on each side thereof, constructing ,or resetting
• curb back 2 ' and paving the roadway with either Re-inforced Con- -
crete, Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt or Brick from Southwest 2nd
to 5th Street. After hearing all persons interested who appeared
and referring a remonstrance filed against said improvement to . -
• the City Engineer, for investigation and report. The Board decides
that the benefits to the property will equal the cost of said -
improvements as reported by the City Civil Engineer (The City will
pay the cost of resetting the curb, the cost -of intersections and
10% of the cost of said improvement ) and thereupon take final
action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modi-
fication.
The Board award the . contract for incandescent lamps for year 192.7
to- Chase Electric Company, of Richmond, Indiana. -
The Board issue Contractor certificate #34, to W. L.. Magaw, con-
tractor under Improvement Resolution No. 797-1926, in sum of
$2079.78. -
