Thursday January 13th, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
. in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday January
13th, 1927 at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Land, McFail and Henley being present . The following pro-
, ceedings were had, to-wit :
A remonstrance filed as of date of January 10th, 1927, at 1- P.M.
signed by Robbins & Robbins,. Attorneys for Henry H. & Mary Johan-
ning, remonstrating against the vacation of South. 8th Street from
South "P" . Street to the south terminous of said 8th Street, as
provided under Declaratory Resolution No, 201-1926. The Board de-
cide the remonstrance was filed to late as the resolution had al-
ready been confirmed.
The Board granted permission to Jacob House, to remove the tree in
Maple Road in front of.his Lot No. 62, Morton Lake ddition.

The Board award the contract for excavating in Glen Miller ark,
at price named,in his bid submitted therefore Dec. 9,- 1926, i. e
$p35.00 per day, and instructed Street- Commissioner Lyons, to re-
move & set fence in order- to expedite said excavation.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll under Declaratory
Resolution No. 202-1926, for opening of alley between .South, 4-th
Street and C. & 0. Railroad, from South "D" Street south to 1st
alley running east to South 4th Street.
The Board received bids for grading Northwest 6th Street to the
sub-grade of a proposed street when constructed, from Pearl Street
to Peacock Road under Improvement Resolution Na. 817-1926, as
follows, to-wit : -
" Paul Teegarden, bid;
Roadway complete $1.74 per linear foot
" E. .A. Mariani, bid; • -
Street graded complete . $2.40 per linear foot
The bid_ of Paul Teegarden being the lowest and within the
estimate of City Civil Engineer, the contract was so awarded.
Claims in amount of $1769.93 were allowed & ordered paid. 11/
