SPECIAL TOWN ELECTION
June 17, 1986
In accordance with the warrant the inhabitants of the Town of Brewster quali-
fied to vote in the Town Election met, at the Brewster Community Center,
Tuesday , June 17 , 1986 .
The polls were declared open at 7 : 00 A . M . The election workers duly sworn
were , Dorothy Grenier, Warden , Ruth Hanlon , Deputy Warden , J. Ogden
Tyldsley , Jr. , Clerk , Doris Powell , Deputy Clerk, Helen Allen , Althea Ailing,
Alfred Robinson , William Nielson , Eleanor Nielson , Mildred Magee, Dorothy
Pendergast, Edward Sabatini , Phyllis Cossand, Janet McManus , Kitty- Lou
Campbell , Helen Brandon and Violet Bishop.
The polls closed at 8 : 00 P. M .
The total number of votes cast were 756 .
QUESTION 1 :
"Shall the Town of Brewster be allowed to exempt from the provisions
of Proposition 2 '/z , so-called , the total amounts required to pay for the bond
issued in order to finance the purchase of the property owned by Carleton S.
Francis II I for conservation and related purposes , as voted in Article 97 , at the
Annual Town Meeting of May 12, 1986, and other expenses incidental thereto ? "
