The tellers were Dorothy Grern' , OgdenT Idsle , Jr . Checkers were Dorothea Dugan , Gage , Curtis and J Carl Scrivener and Mae Olson . A quorum was present. The Warrant was read by the Town Clerk , Barbara A . Vaughn with the excep- tion of the articles which were read as they were being considered . of ARTICLE 1 . ARTICLE 6 . To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One Thousand and 00/ 100 ($ 1 ,000.00) Dollars to fund the increase in working hours of the Assistant Building Inspector to 25 hours per week through June 30, 1983 , Adopted. ARTICLE 7 , To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Four Hundred Twenty -Nine and 30/ 100 ($429.30) Dollars to be added to the Assistant Wiring Inspector's Salary Account. Adopted . ARTICLE 8 . To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One Thousand Ten and 76/ 100 ($ 1 ,010. 76) Dollars to be added to the Com - munity Center Custodian Salary Account (to pay a part-time custodian at $4 . 23 per hour through June 30, 1983) , Adopated unanimously, ARTICLE 9 . To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Five Thousand Seven Hundred Eighteen and 94/ 100 ($5 , 718. 94 ) Dollars to the Employees Blue Cross Refund Distribution Account and to distribute this amount to those employees who qualify for refunds for the year 1978 in accor- dance with Chapter 394, Acts of 1982, Adopted unanimously , 104 ARTICLE 10. To see if the Town will vote to direct the Board of Selectmen to appoint a "Data Processing Advisory Committee" for the purpose of com- paring and evaluating proposals for use of Service Bureaus or In -house computer equipment and make a recommendation to the Town and to raise and appropri . ate the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred and 00/ 100 ($ 11200. 00) Dollars to fund the expenses of that committee , Adopted unanimously , ARTICLE 11 . To see if the Town will vote to direct the Board of Selectmen to appoint a committee of up to three (3 ) members for the purpose of resuming grave-marker reconstruction and replacement in the Old Cemeteries ( ancient burial grounds) . Adopted unanimously . ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Ten Thousand and 00/ 100 ($ 10,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of replacing two subsurface fuel tanks at the Brewster Community Center, and any unex- pended balance to be returned to Free Cash . Adopted unanimously. ARTICLE 13. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred and 00/ 100 ($ 1 , 200.00) Dollars to replace the obsolete oil burner unit in the Town Hall furnace . Adopted unanimously . ARTICLE 14. To see if the Town will vote to accept $ 1 ,343 .00 in grant money awarded by Elder Affairs and to transfer it from Council on Aging Receipts Reserved for Appropriation Account to the Council on Aging Building Material Account and authorize its use for building materials , and construction of an addition to the existing Council on Aging building. Adopted. ARTICLE 15. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from Council on Aging Receipts Reserved for Appropriation Account the sum of One Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Three and 00/ 100 ($ 1 ,343000) Dollars to the Council on Aging Outreach Account , This is grant money awarded from Elder Affairs for out- reach purposes . Indefinitely postponed , ARTICLE 16. Adopted . ARTICLE 17 . To see if the Town will vote to transfer Twelve Thousand and 00/ 100 ($ 12 ,000.00) Dollars from the Water Receipts Reserved for Appropria. tion Account to the Construction Account for the purpose of rehabilitating the Town water system and to authorize the Water Commissioners to accept the sum of Twenty -One Thousand Four Hundred Fifty -Seven and 00/ 100 ($21 ,457.00) Dollars as a grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and to transfer said grant to the construction account for the same purposes . Adopted . ARTICLE 19. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of Three Thou - sand and 00/ 100 ( $3 ,000.00) Dollars from Water Receipts Reserved for Appro- priation Account to the Construction Account for the purpose of installing alarm systems in well houses one and two and for any other security deemed necessary by the Water Commissioners . Adopted . ARTICLE 20. To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 12 , Special Town Meeting of December 10, 1979, which formerly read as follows : To see if the Town will vote to borrow the sum of Seven Thousand and 00/ 100 ($ 7 ,000 .00) Dollars to install 500 feet of 8-inch main , more or less , along Gages Way , the property owners repaying the Town the above cost with interest, in full com- pliance with the Water Betterment Assessment Program , by amending said article by reducing the sum of Seven Thousand and 00/ 100 ($7 ,000.00) Dollars to the sum of Six Thousand Four Hundred and 00/ 100 ($6 ,400.00) Dollars. To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 42 , Annual Town Meeting, May 11 , 1981 , which formerly read as follows : To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Treasurer to borrow the sum of Thirty -Nine Thousand and 00/ 100 ($39,000.00) Dollars to install water mains on Crowell 's Bog Road (360 ft. ) and on Sheep Pond Circle ( 1 ,960 ft. ) in accordance with the Water Better- ment Program, by amending said article by reducing the sum of Thirty-Nine Thousand and 00/ 100 ($39,000.00) Dollars to the sum of Thirty- Five Thousand and 00/ 100 ($35,000.00) Dollars . Adopted unanimously . ARTICLE 22. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of Four Thousand Two Hundred Sixty and 00/ 100 ($4 ,260.00) Dollars to be used for the engineering and appraisal costs connected with the redesign of a portion of STONY BROOK ROAD at the proposed RUN HILL ROAD intersection .
