Thursday December 16th,1926.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
- in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday December
16th, 1926, at 9 o'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Land, McFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings
were had, to-wit.: •
• The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
Improvement Resolution No.764-1925, for planting of trees in Reeves-
ton Road, from South l8th to 23rd Street, the same was accepted and
assessment roll ordered. -
In matter of Improvement Resolution No.811-1926, for sanitary sewer
in alley between Hunt & Ratliff Street, from School to Stevens St.
The Board fix the. rate to be charged to benefitted property at
SO.01/89580 per square foot of lots and lands-.
The Board issued contractor certificate #33 in sum of $2898.29 to
W.L.Magaw, contractor under Improvement Resolution No. 799-1926, for
improvement of South 15th Street„ from from South "E" to " G" Street.
The Board authorized D. C.Hess, Sup 't. , of Light Plant, to present
XMas greetings to employees of plant, at a cost of not to exceed
the sum of $100.00 to be paid out of plant . appropriation.
The Clerk was directed to notify,Wm. H. Whiteley that his proposit-
ion in matter ' of taking part 'of lot at Kinsey & First Street, for
widening intersection at this point, is rejected by the Board, and
- request that he re-consider the Boards proposition- and give. the
Board his answer By Monday January 3rd, 1927, or. the Board would
proceed to take steps to condemn said property or so much of the
same as is needed.
The Board approved the various payrolls up to December 16th, 196,
Claims in amount of '$2872.78 were allowed and ordered paid.
In appreciation of services rendered by Wm..E.Morrey as supervisor
of Municipal Golf Course in Glen Miller Park, for the Elvst three
years,. and due to the fact that he has made the same self sustain-
ing. The Board re-appoint said W.E.Morrey as supervisor for the
year, 1927.
