HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-22-2022 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, DECEMBER 22,2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Matt Evans. Absent was Emily Palmer. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Tim Brown, Interim Fire Chief; Joseph Buckler, Firefighter; Derek Hill, Director of Code Enforcement; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Evans moved to approve the minutes of December 15, 2022, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT -None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT-None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION-None REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS -None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 176-2022 — REVISED — WORKING FIRE FURNITURE & MATTRESS CO.,INC. The City retains Contractor to furnish fire house collection classic large wardrobes with shelves and to furnish bed bug resistant adjustable steel twin beds for the Fire Department. Not to exceed $43,504.51 Board of Works Minutes December 22,2022 Mr. Evans moved to approve and rescind the previous contract, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 203-2022—ABINGTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT The Fire Department received a request from the Abington Township Volunteer Fire Department for a 1995 Pierce Fire Engine that the Fire Department has taken out of service. The City agrees to sell the engine to them for a Dollar. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 209-2022—REDDOG ENTERPRISES, INC. The City hereby retains Contractor to provide services in connection with the emergency securing of windows and doors and cleanup at the premises located at 10 SW 9th Street Department of Code Enforcement. Not to exceed$1,500.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS -None ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO.2 TO CONTRACT NO. 172-2020—CUMMINS ELECTRIC,INC. The City wishes to continue to retain Contractor to provide on-call electrical repairs for the Fire Department set forth within the scope of the original contract. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 173-2020 — OVERHEAD DOOR OF RICHMOND The City wishes to continue to retain Contractor to continue to provide on-call and as- needed general maintenance to the overhead doors and openers for the Fire Department, as set forth within the scope of original contract. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. MISCELLANEOUS -None ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
