The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met - -in regular session at the office of said Board Monday November 22nd, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, • Me-ssrs, Land, Mo-Fail and Henley being present . The following pro- -ceedings were- had, to-wit : I/ A petition was presented signed by uV.H.Douglas, et-al, praying for - the opening of an alley between South 1-th Street and the main line of the C. & 0. Railroad, from South "D" Street, south, which was - referred to the''Engineer for plans, etc. , • - The Board granted permission to Nicholas & Grace Kovacs, to tap. into north "E" Street trunk sewer at North 15th Street, and- to construct and lay a 12" sewer in North 15th. Street from North "E" Street north 178 feet to his property, all at his own expense; The Board however, grants permission to said Mr. & Mrs. Kovacs to charge' the owners of property desiring to tap into the sewer being laid by them as above described at the rate of $2. 50 per ft . , The- Clerk was directed to notify Mr. Colvin contractor for the new Theatre building at North 9th & Main Streets, to clean up the side- walk along said building. The. Board received bids, for furnishing automobiles and motorcycle for use of Police & Fire Departments as follows, to-wit :- " Steve Worley Motor Co. , bid; Nash Advance Six Touring Car, Model 261 of 1927 type tiainted blue, for use of Police Department--} 11-i-15.00 and their Pilot Touring Car. Nash Special Six Touring Car Model 231-1927 type, painted- Fire Dept . Red. $1100.00. The bids for Fire Chief Car, were on motion submitted to Fire Chief for investigation and report.The bid for Police Automobile and motorcycle, were thrown out and the Clerk directed to re-advertise for bids for tour- ing Car and motorcycle for Police Department . P • Claims in amount of i�2743 . 63 were allowed & ordered paid. Mr. Hess, Sup 't . , of M.E. L.& P.P. reported that he had received copy of the audit of the books of the ::_.E. L, e P.P . for the year 1925, made by the State Examiners for the State Board of Recounts . Showing all records in good condition, with the recommendation that the plant install a different system, from the one in use. Mr. Hess stated this is being worked on at the present time . The Board decide as' next Thursday is Thanksgiving Day, they will not have their regular meeting on that date. The Board then adjourned, ilL Pres t . of Board Attest : Cler Board - .
