HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-18-1926 41 8 Office- of Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana, Thursday November 18t.h, 1926. • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in reaularr session at the office of said Board, Thursday November. 18th, ,1926, at 9 o ' clock A. M. All the members of. said Board Messrs, and, McFail and Henley being present . The fol- lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :- The Clerk reported complaints and receommendations from the Common Council as follows: Mr. Benn, requested that Doran Bridge be better lighted, also, the motion as carried made by Mr. Williams, that the Board purchase new furniture for No. 5 Hose House. The Board of Public Works enter• o contract with Michael and �a_ry Toohey, husband & wife, Whereas,' said Toohey & wife, de- dicate a part of lot No. 640, E. Starr, Addition, to City, for widening the street at the intersection of North 16th and "C" Streets; at the north-west corner thereof. The City to con- struct coping beginning at northeast corner of lot , extending southward and westward a distant n of 70 feet ; and also shall construct an additional coping along the north side of North " C" Street, joining with the above described coping, a distance of 43i feet, this last named coping to be paid for by' the party of the second part, Mr. & Mrs. Toohey, on a basis of labor and materials entering the work . The Clerk was directed to notify Stantard Oil Company, that the city intended to widen the street at their filling station at corner of Sheridan Street and Richmond Avenue, as. soon as the weather would permit, all work connected with the same to be done at the cities expense, and request the company to forward deed of dedication of ground necessary for said widening. The Board approved the various payrolls up to November 16th, 1926. �, Claims in amount of i 12, 953 .20 were allowed & ordered paid.. • The Board then adjourned, great of Board Attest : Ill Clerk of Board
