The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday November 14th,. 1926, at 9 o ' clock A. Me All the members of said Board, Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose property I/ ' is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 814-1926, for .th.e . improvement of Grant Street, by constructing cement sidewalks, curb & gutter on both sides of street and graveling roadway, from Bridge Avenue to Ridge Street , No remonstrance having been filed, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the ' City Engineer, and thereupon take action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected -under Improvement Resolution No. 815-1926, for the improve- ment of Southwest 9th- Street, by constructing cement sidewalks, curb, gutters on both sides thereof, and grading and paving the roadway with surface treated macadam, from Lain to Southwest " A" Street. After hearing all persons interested who appeared, no remonstrance having been filed, the Board decides that the benefits to. the proper- liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. Mr. Mulroney, reported that Geo. Taube, would like to be relieved of his contract for removing the garbage and that he had. a Mr. 1ter- cher who desired to take over the ' same. `'he Clerk was directed to request Mr. Taube, Kercher and Taube ' s bonding company to appear before them Monday Wove. 8, 1926. The Clerk wa_ : directed to notify Standard Oil Co. , manager t4 appear before them at their next meeting Monday Nov. a, 1926, in matterof ground for fire hydrant -at Sheridan Street & Richmond Avenue. The Clerk was directed to notify The Ohio Traffic Post Co. , to re- pair the post broken at railroad and North Ci th St . , also other posts in the city needing attention. Building Inspector, i?as ' inst_ ucted to not issue permit for new hotel 'until providions had been made for taking care of widening of S."A" Street at 9th Street ; also, land on west side of South 9th Street between Main & South " A". Street . City Attorney reported that the city had to recourse in matter of Main Street bridge flooring, other than to keep the same in repair • at city ' s expense, as they were not a party to the contract for its construction, and as the same conforms to the specifications, there was not any relief from the city keeping the same in repair. 41 2 Thursday November 4th, 1926. Richmond City Water Works, were granted permission to repa±xm repair the old galvanized pipes lines in South 15th Street from South "A" Street north to 1st alley south of Main and Pearl Street, from let to 3rd Street, and relay the same in the spring with cast iron pipe, The .Clerk was directed to have sign prepared and placed on old 8th Street Engine house, offering the same for sale, also, to state thereon if not sold at private sale, the same would be offered at public auction Wednesday December 1st, 1926, at 2 o 'clock P. M. and for not less than the appraised value thereof. • Street Commissioner Chas. Lyons was instructed to meet with the Board Monday November 8th, 1926, subject repair of trenches.
