Monday November let, 1926.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday November
1st, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Land, McFail and Henley being present . The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board approved a primary assessment roll of benefits and
damages under Declaratory Resolution No. 200-1926, for the con-
demnation of right of way for sewer between South llth & 12th
Street, from South " I" to "J" Street .
The Board direct the clerk to advertise for bids for equipment
and steel frame-work for substations of M.B.L.& P.P. as per
plans and specifications on file .
Mr. D. C. Hess, Sup 't . , of Light Plant was instructed in ordering
new traffic posts, the be of the four-way type instead of three-
, way, with a view to installing two posts at intersections instead
of four as now installed.
Complaint was -made to the Board of the dangerous condition of
. South 5th Street between South " L" & "N" Street, whereas this
streets has never been improved the Board decide to investigate
as to its condition, with . a view to instructing the Street Com-
missioner to give temporary relief. -
Mr. Henley reported that the concrete under Main Street Bridge
flooring has been found to be from 24" to 5" thick, with most
of same 5" thick, on motion the Clerk was directed to notify
the City Attorney of findings, and request him to make a report
at khursday meeting as to what city can do in matter.
. The Board approved the various payrolls to November 1st, 1926.
The Board received copy of report made by Richmond Rotary Club
on the "Study of Boy and Girl Life in Richmond" . The clerk was
directed to acknowledge receipt - of same and extend the thanks
of Board to committee for same.
