The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday October
21st, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, McFall and Henley present .
Mr. Land, absent. Two_ members of said Board being present . The
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
I/ Th.e Engineer, was directed to' measure the thickness of concrete
on top of rill on Main Street bridge, at various places now under
repair by the city, and to copy specifications of bridge, and re-
port as to whether- or not the concrete conforms to said specifi-
cations, and Street Department directed to proceed with the re-
pairs on said bridge.
Harry Hayes, was granted permission to remove the trees in front
of his property #749 North' 12th Street , the same be-ing dead.
Complaint is made that Fry & Pohlmeyer contractors, have thrown a
lot of dirt in the alley between South 14th & 15th Street, running
. south from South "El" Street, and thus preventing residents from
having coal put in by coal dealers . The Clerk was directed to no-
tify said contractors, to remove said dirt . .
The Board received bids for re-roofing the north ro6f of the
Market House at South 6th & "A" Street , as follows to-wit :
• " Union Roofing Company, bid;
Beaver Vulcanite Standard Roofing 10 year guar. 72. 50
" Wayne Roofing Company, bid;
Roofing same as on south side- 10 year guar. $86.00
The bid of Union Roofing Company, being the lowett the con-
tract wa..s awarded to said Wayne Roofing Company.
The Board approved primary assessment roll under Improvement Reso-
lution No.813-1926. for cement alley between South 14th. & 15th
Street, from South "B" to " C" Street.
Claims in amount of 019,445.32, were allowed.
