City of Richmond, Indiana,
Thursday October 14th, 1926.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday October
14th, 1926, at 9 o °cllck A. M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present. The following pro-
ceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board received bids for furnishing 15 tons West Va. Lump coal
to theCity Crematory bins as follows, to-wit :
" lather Bros, Co.,, bid;

West Virginia Lump Coal 15 tons delivered @-- $6.95 per ton.
" The Klehfoth-Voss-Gandy Co. , bid;
Belmont West Va. , lump coal 15 tons delivered-$7.50 perk ton.
" Tiger Coal & Supply Co. , bid;
15 tons Ky. or- West Va. Lump coal @ - $8.00 per ton.
The bid of Mather Bros Co. , being the lowest, the contract
was so awarded. .
The Board received bids for furnishing stack at City Crematory,
as follows, to-wit :
" Thos. Turner & Son,_ bid; .
New # 10 ga, steel stack, same diameter & height as old stack, furn-
is��ed & erected, including new guy wires & painting $354.00
" 'eorge F. Krick & Son, bid; -
Smoke stack 52 °X 36" #10ga steel-$389. 50;#12 ga----4 356.35, set up.
" William Gr.ahmm, bid;
Stack, .50 ° by 36" Blue Annealed Steel 12 ga.$213.75-14 ga.-$181.85.
. Blue annealed copper bearing steel-12 ga-$247.95-14 ga-- 205. 62.
Band at top & bottom 8 guy wires,painted made in one sheet to ring,
at shop will not erect . The Board take bids under advisement , and
. request Mr.Graham to bid on 10 ga, steel, and Mr. McFail instructed
to find out the cost of placing stack on flue.
The City Engineer was authorized to attend the National Convention
of Municipal Improvements at Washington, D.C. Nov-8 - 12 - 1926,
and authorize appropriation in sum of $100.00 to pay his expenses.
The Clerk was directed to notify W.L.Magaw to appear at their next
Meeting Monday October lath, 1926. subject trees.
