HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-07-1926 Office of Board of Public Works, 403 City of Richmond, Indiana, Thursday October 7th, 1926. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday October 7th, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, McFail and Henley being present. Absent; Mr. Land, two members of said Board being present the following proceedings were had, to-wit :- The Board received a copy of petition filed with the Public Service Commission of Indiana, ih the-matter of the application to issue S150,000.00 of preferred stock by the Richmond City Water Works. The Board received notice from the Public Service Commission of Indiana, that they had fixed Friday October 15th, 1926, at 10 A. T. for hearing on the petition of Richmond City Water Works to issues $150,000.00 of preferred stock, at State House, Indianapolis, -Ind. , these matters were referred to City Attorney. The Board directed the Richmond City Water Works, to replace the 6" main in South "J" Street with a 10" main from South 9th to 10th Street; also, to place fire hydrant at corner of South llth & "J" Streets. Upon the passage of the ordinance by the Common Council on Monday October I{-th, 1926, for the purchase of land for Glen Miller Park. The Board directed the Clerk to notify M. C. Henley through the Police Department that the City exercised their right to accept the option given by said Henley, to purchase the land adjacent to Glen Miller' Park, and tender the city 's warrant in the sum of $100. as part payment for said land, and requesting said Henley to have the abstract of title brought up to date, and present the same to- gether with deed to aforesaid land, for payment of the balance of money as required by option and ordinance $5625.00 total. • The Board then adjourned, • Prest. o-u • of and Attest : / L / Clerk of Board
