HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-04-1926 Office of Board of Public Works, 402 City of Richmond,. Indiana, Monday October 4th, 1926. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday October 4th, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. .M. Allthe members of .said Board, Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit-: • - • The Board approved the contract and bond of W. L. fagaw, contractor _ under Improvement Resolution No 's. 810 and 812-1926. The Board --approved the contract and bond of Daniel G. Burkhardt under Improvement Resolution No. 813-1926. - The Board Issued contractors certificate #30. to W. L. Magaw in sum of $3423.12 Improvement Resolution No. 792-1926. Permission was granted Caroline Wright to cut the curb for drive- way at 603 Southwest "A" Street. _ The Board unan&mou:sly adopted Leclaratory Resolution No. 200-1926, to condemn a right of way 20' wide, for .construction and maintenance of sewer between South llth & 12th Street, from South "-I" to "J" Street. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution. No. 816-1926, for construction of Sanitary Sewer between South llth & 12th Street from South " I" to "J" Street, also 140 ' east & 1401 . west on south side of South "I" Street of the proposed sanitary sewer. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 815 1926 for improvement of Southwest 9th Street, by constructing cement curb, gutter 51r sidewalks on both sides of street and grading & paving the roadway with surface treated macadam, from West Main to Southwest "A" Street. The Board approved the various payrolls to October 1st, 1926. Claims in amount of $24,393.06 were allowed and ordered paid. Permission was granted the 'T. H. I. & E. Traction Co. , to place new poles adjacent to sidewalks in -Southwest 5th Street, between West Main and Southwest "A" Street. The Board authorize E.E.Miller Fire Chief, to attend the Nation- al convention of Fire Chiefs at New Orleans Oct. 19th to 23rd, 1926, his necessary expenses to be paid out of Appropriation for .
