City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday September 27th, 1926.
The Board of Public Works of the City, of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday September
27th, 1926, at 9 o°clock A. M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Land, McFail and' Henley being present. The following pro-
ceedings were had, to-wit :-

The Board received complaint of Atmtomotive Gear Works ina. as to
water running into their plant, instead of water at "P" Street
running straight thru, it runs down the C. & 0. Ry. tracks instead

of going thru the culvert under the tracks and to a ditch, it emties
in sewer at northeast point of' our land, and in such quantities
the sewer there could not possibly take care of it . as this natter
is of great- importance to the City & C. & 0. Railroad Co. , the
Clerk was directed to correspond with Sup 't. , Derbyshire and request
a meeting for a conference in this matter Monday Oct.- 4, 1926.
The Street Commmssioner- was directed to place cinders in alley be-
tween SW. -1-th & 5th St. between 0. & D. Sts. ,
A petition for sewer in territory between South llth & 12th Street
from South " I" to "J" Street was received and referred to Engineer.
The Board received bids for improvement of alley between South 14th
& 15th Street,• by cement roadway from South "B" to " 0" Street under
Improvement Resolution No. 813-1926, as follows, to-wit :
11 Dani'el G. Burkhardt, bid;
Cement roadway complete $0.200 per square foot
" Z. B. Pyle, bid;
Cement roadway complete . $0..230 per square foot.
The bid of Daniel G. Burkhardt being the lowest received and being
with the estimate of City Engineer, the contract was so awarded.
The Board- enter into contract wi The Raymond City Coal Company of
Cincinnati, Ohio, for furnishing the M.E.L.& P.P. with .15,000 tons
2 N. & S. coal, at $ 2.27 per ton', f.o.b.cars North Bend, Ohio.
The Board' decide on account" of meeting of Municipal League at Terre
Haute, Indiana, Sep. 28-29 ' & 30th. they will not hold meeting on
Thursday September 30th, regular meeting day.
The Board. then adjourned to Monday •
October th, 1926.
