Thursday .September 2nd, 1926.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday September
2nd, 1926, at 9 o' clock A. M. Messrs , McFail and Henley being
present ; Absent. Mr. Land, Two members of said Board being pres-
ent , the following proceedings were had , to-wit :
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 811-1926°, providing for
the construction of Sanitary Sewer in alley between Hunt & Eatliff
Street, from School to Stevens Street. No one remonstrating, the
Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be as-
sessed for the cost of improvement are equal to the cost of same
as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final
action on said resolution the same being confirmed without modi-
fication.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 812-1926 , for the improve__
ment of South "I" Street , by constructing cement sidewl,lks , curb ,
gutter,planting trees on both sides of street and grading and paving
the roadway with surface treated macadam, from South 9th to 13th
Street . No one remonstrating, the Board decides that the benefits
to the property liable to be assessed, are equal to the cost of
same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final
action on said resolution the same being confirmed without modifi-
cation.

The Shera Coal & Supply Co. , having withdrawn their bid for furn-
ishing coal to city buildings , before the contract was awarded re-
fuse to' fill the contract as awarded to them, the Clerk was directed
to return their certified check submitted with bid.
The Board renew permit for a term of three years, with The Sanitary
Service Advertising Co. , permitting said company to place waste paper
receptacles on streets , the said Company to remove the paper and
waste deposited in said receptacles.
The Board directed the Finance Department to pay to Daniel G. Burk-
hardt the 5% retained under improvements as follows ;_ -
Resolution No. 769-1925-$84.2C ; Resolution No. 776-1925-08 .65;
Resolution 771-1926-072. 14.
A claim in amount of $120.93, was filed by Skiles W. Bricker, in
matter of caring for Ruth Campbell, small pox patient, the. same

was referred to the Board of Public Health.
The Bpard approved payrolls to September 1st , 1926.
The Board then adjourned,
