Monday August 30t'n, 1926.
The Board of Public Works -of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
- in• regular session at the office of said Board. Monday August 30th
1926, at 9 otclock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs
Land, McFail and Henley being present . Thezollowing proceedings
• . - were-had,- to-wit :- .

The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property is
. :
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 810-1926, for the improve-
. ment of South "J" Street , .by constructing cement sidewalks, curb &
gutter also planting of trees on both sides of street, grading and
paving the roadway with surface treated macadam, from South 9th
Ito 13th Street . After hearing all persons interested who appeared.
The Board decide that the benefits to the property liable to be
assessed for said improvements are . equal to the cost of same as
reported 'by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final
action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modi-
fication.
' ' In matter of petition filed for construction of sanitary sewer in
alley between South 7th & 8th Street, from South "L" to "N" . Street,
the City Civil Engineer reports it is impossible to construct said
sewer until proper -outlet is provided for the territory south- of
South "L" Street and west of 8'th. Street. .
A petition for ornamental lighting system in North 6th Street, from
Mai n' to North "A" Street, was received and referred to Sun_ 't . of
Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant.
The. Street Department was instructed to ra.ise ' th.e gutter crossing
South " 0" 'Street at its' intersection with 16th Street . -
Claims in amount of 4 '11, 279.05 were allowed.
The Board granted permission to the 4-H. Club. of Wayne , County, to
hold their agricultural exhibit, in Glen 'Miller Park to be -held
on Roosevelt_ Hill, the City. to furnish light for tents etc. , and
Sup 't . , of Light Plant was directed to install lights for lighting
same. .
