City of Richmond, Indiana,
Thursday August 12th, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday August
12th, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board,Messrs,
Land, McFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
II The Board received report of the Travelers Insurance Company, of
Inspection made of the tubular boiler in City Hall building, in-
spected July 23, 1926. reported the boiler equipment was examined
internally and externally where accessible and is in safe operating
- condition, for a maximum pressure not in excess of 15# stating
the blow down pipe is leaking where it enters the rear head and '
should be made tight. Mr. Miller Fire Chief was instructed to have
the blow down pipe repaired as recommended.
The Board received bids for Coupe for use of Municipal Electric •
Lighting & Power Plant as follows, to-wit :
- . " Chenoweth Auto Company, bid; ( 6 — cylinder) fully 'eQuiped;
- 1926 Model 128"- $1660.00; 1927 Model 115"-$1 -50; 120" - 41650.00
with an- allowance of $300.00 for old Buick 4 cy. coupe.
Bid referred to Mr. Hess for investigation and report,
The Board received bids for "Motor Trucks" fully equipped with
winch for raising poles etc. , according to the city s specifications,
as follows, to-wit :
." Chenoweth Auto Company, bid;
K-72 G.M. C.Truck, 3L to 4 T. 36X5-F.40X12R. fuller equipped, $7251. 75
. Body made by own company ; 9271. 75, body by Routh-06940.00;
Add. Pneumatic tires - ''490.00 for Overman Cushions - $409.00
K-52 GMC.Truck, 21 to 3 T. 36x4-38x10 fully equipped---$5771.75;
Body by company-$8111.75; Routh - 05780.00, add. Pneumatic tires
$212.00' for °verman Cushions--$469 00; allowance for old truck $515.
International Harvester Company of America bid;
#63 Inter, truck-3 ton- $631331--- #43-2 ton-$6050.37, Pneu.tires
63-$57.60; 43-$25.32 add. Overman cushions-$807.00 & $450.00
allowance for old International truck--$800.00.
" International Motor Company, Indlps. bid;
Mack truck-2i ton solid tires $5801. 50, add, for Pneumatic tires
$329.00 , Overman cushion-- a 475.00; allowance for old internat-
ional truck st $500.00
" Rodefeld Company, bid•
White Truck, Model 51-2 ton-$5989.00; add. for pneumatic tires
$245.00. Overman cushions-4730.00, allowance for old International
Truck- 0455.00. All bids to conform to specifications and are f.o.b.
delivered Richmond, Indiana. Bids referred to Mr. Hess, for investi-
gation and report .
Permission was granted Edgar Norris to lay cement walk in front of
Lot 7, 0.& .C. S,Brown Add. east side of North 10th Street .
The Board then adjourned,
