HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-19-1926 376 Office of Board of Public Works, City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday July 19th, 1926. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 19th, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board awarded the contract for furnishing 750 gallon triple combination pumping engine with cooler system to Thhe Ahrens-Fox Fire Engine Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, at price of $13, 200.00 less 2%•discount for cash and less $936.00 to be allowed the City for Old Robinson Auto driven Oombination Chemical and Hose Wagon, making the net price of 12, 000.00 The Board approved the contract & bond of W. L. ftagaw, contractor under Improvement Resolution No. 797-1926, for improvement of Southwest "C" Street from 4th Street to College Avenue. Whereas, the Board deems the old Robinson Fire Truck, obselete and out of service, and whereas, the city has received an offer for purchase of same, the Clerk was directed to prepare 'reeolu- tion `and apresent the same to the common council, requesting the Judge of the Wayne Circuit Court of Wayne County, Indiana, to appoint appraisers to appraise said fire truck; also the Buick Cope and International Truck used by the M.E.L.& P.P. with a view of selling the above property. Payrolls of city to July 16th, were allowed; Claims in amount of $14,709.12 were allowed. A claim in sum of $10.00 filed by Wm. J. Griffin, for 'damage to crop; and inconvenience sustained by him on account of con- struction of a sewer across ground owned by Railroad Co. , and rented to him south of Linden Avenue, taken under advisement until hearing from Railroad Co. , The Board then adjourned, ;kr/252- P st . of Board 1,/t/ Attest : // (�' Clerk7 Board
