The Board of Public Works of' the City of Richmond, Indiana, met . in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday June 17th, 1926, at 9 o'clock A.' M. All the members of said Board Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit :- J. H. Thorman, was granted to cut down the dead & dying trees ad- jacent to his property 328 South 10th Street. The Board signed agreement between The City of Richmond, Indiana, and -Louis Knopf regarding the installation of an additional light post in South 5th Street adjacent to his property, also with Harry Vigran, for additional light post in South 6th Street adjacent to his property. ' The Board signed agreement by and between M.E.L.& P.P. of City and The Eastern Indiana Hospital for Insane, in matter of furnishing electric energy for said institution. Permission was granted Mrs. Della Simpson, to extend sidewalk to curb in front of her premises 1203 Boyer Street, Ihe City Attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance permitting the erection of metal awnings in front. of Hotels and Thr.es Build- - ings and present the same to council at their next meeting. The Clerk was directed to notify btandard Oil Co. , in matter of erecting buildings at filling station at Sheridan Street & ich- mond Ave. , to make allowance for future widening of Sheridan Street on west side at its intersection with said Avenue. The following communication was received: To the Board of Public Works Gentlemen: - Relating to the use of lots S.W. Corner of S. 5th & 11L°° Street, and Bridge Avenue & Rappy Hollow for an Electric Sub- 6tation. The City of Richmond, owning the Municipal Electric Light- ing & Power Plant, has a right to use the above property for this purpose, because it is not affected by the Planning ordinance at this time. On account of complaints of residents along Northwest 1st Street, of persons dumping tin cans etc. , on the cityies property on east side of street, The Street Commissioner was directed to erect "No 'dumping signs" , on this property, other than good soil.
