HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-14-1926 ' Office of Board of Public -Works 35�' City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday Jghe 14th, 1926. - • • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular. session in the office of said .Board Monday June 14th, 1926, at 9 o 'clock A.! M. Messrs, McFail and Henley being present ; .absent Mr. Land. Two members of said Board being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :- The City Civil .Engineer reported the completion of .Improvement .under Resolution No. 795-1926, for cement roadway in alley between South 9th & 10th Street, from South "E" to "F" Street,. the Board accepted the aame and order assessment roll prepared. The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is of- • fected under Improvement Resolution No. 805-4926, providing for con- struction of cement sidewalks 5' wide on both sides .of South "F" 6tree• from South 9th to llth Street. No one remonstrating the Board decide that the be.ne.fits. to property liable to be assessed for said improve- ment are equal to the cost as reported by the City Civil Engineer, & thereupon take final action .the resolution being confirmed without modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is af- fected under Improvement- Resolution No. 806-1926, for improvement of alley between North 10th & llth Street, by constructing a cement road- way the full width thereof, from South "B" to "C" Street, No one re- monstrating against said improvement, the Board decide that the-ibene=--•- - fits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer and there- upon take action on' said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is af- fected under Improvement: Resolution No. 807-1926, for the .construction of a Sanitary Sewer in alley between South 8th & 9th Street, from Sout] "M" Street to right of way of C. & 0. Railroad. No one .remonstrating the Board decide that, the benefits to the property liable to be assess• ed for said improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon take final action onsaid reso- lution the same being confirmed without modification The Board approved the contract & bond of• WL Magaw, contractor under Improvement Resolution No. 799-192.6. The Board approved the contract & bond of J.L.Teegarden contractor under Improvement Resolution No. 800-1926. • • A petition for improvement of South "J" Street, from 9th to 12th St. was referred to Engineer for plans & specifications. The Board received letter from State Board of Accounts stating the doubted that the 'City had a right to charge lighting 'etc.. for Bayne County Fair to account of advertising, but stating this question was or should be settled by the Public Service Commiision. • The Board then adjourned, Attest: • Gil' Prest.ot Board. pro—tem. 1�1,FRK OF B4OARO OF PUBLIC WORKS.
