City of Richmond, Indiana,
Thursday May 20th, 1926.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday May 20th,
1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said 'Board Messrs,
Land, McFall and Henley being present. The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
The Board received petition for laying water main in New Paris
Pike, from North 12th Street east; also, in Railroad Street, from
Sheridan to 1st Street, referred to Water Works.
A petition was received for improvement of the alley between South
7th & 8th Street, by constructing cement roadway, from South "H" to
"J" Street, referred to Engineer.
The Boar approved a plat consisting of 38 town lots, laid out by
Call L. einheimer at South 9th Street, Boston and Straight Line
Pikes to-be known as Edgemount, Addition.
The Board adopted Resolution No. 807-1926, for sanitary sewer in
alley bertween South Sth & 9th Street., from South "M" Street to
C. & 0. ailroad tracks.
The Board met to hear remonstrance if any under Improvement Reso-
lution No. 003-1926, for improvement of alley between Tract 166
Official. Map, & of 1 Robert Morrisons,Add. by cement roadway. from.
Main Street to the north line of alley running east. After hearing all
persons interested who appeared and carefully considering a remon-
strance by the C. & 0. Railroad Co. , the Board over-rule the same
and decide that the benefits to property liable to b.e assessed for
said improvement 'are equal to the cost as estimated by the City
Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution
the same being confirmed without modification.
The Board met to hear all persons primarily assessed, under Improve-
ment Resolution No.787-1926, for sanitary sewer between S.W.lst St.
& Whitewater Bouledard in Smithmeyer, Addition, no one appearing
or remonstrating, the Board approved a final assessment roll con-
firming the original assessment roll as heretofore confirmed, and
now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of
Finance.
Complaints from Council were received and referred to the various
department heads.
Communication from C. & 0. Ry. Co. , regarding flasher light signals
was received and referred to Council Committees having matter in
charge.
Nonc-p"ro-tune. Record of May 17,1926. The Board directed the Clerk
to request. an appropriation in sum of $�I-0,000.00, to remodel persent
City Hall Bldg. ,and present ordinance to Council for action.
The Board then adjourned,
