HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-06-1926 Office of Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana, Thursday May 6th, 1926. - The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursdal\May 6th, • 1926, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs, Land, McFail and Henley being present". The following proceedings were had, to-wit :II • The Board _met to hear all persons interested or . whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 799-1926, for the _improve- ment of South 15th Street, by constructing cement curb & gutter repairing sidewalks where needed, and planting of trees on both sideE and paving the roadway with surface treated macadam, from South "E" to "G" Street. After hearing all persons interested who appeared The Board decide that the benefits to property liable to beraseseed • for said improvements are equal to the cost of same, and thereupon take final action,. the resolution being confirmed without modifi- - , • cation. The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property • is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 800-1926, for the im- prove vent of South 14th Street,by constructing cement curb,;`•ut ter•, repairing sidewalks where needed and planting of trees on both sides of street and paving the roadway with surface treated macad- am, from South "E" to "G" Street .After hearing all persons interestec who appeared, the Board decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for sa±doimiaroleme.nt are equal to the cost of . . same, and thereupon take final action- on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board met t•o hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 801-1926, for the improve- ment of Northwest 6th Street, by constructing cement curb & gutter on both sides thereof, and grading and paving the roadway with sur- face treated macadam, from Pearl Street to Peacock Road. A remon- strance signed by all the resident property owners having been filed the Board after carefully considering the same, on motion rescind the said resolution. The Engineer reported that there are 11 resident property owners residing along Northwest 6th Street - from Pearl to Peacock Road, 6 of whom have signed the remonstrance against the ,limproveme.nt as provided under improvement Resolution No.797-1926. this being a majority the Board direct the Clerk to prepare an ordinance and - -orward to Ordinance Committee requesting the same be' submitted to • Council for action. . I/. The Board granted permission to A, A. Curme,Jr. , to cut the curb at Lot 81, Reeveston Addition on Reeveston Road. Upon recommendation of Street Commissioner Chas. Lyons', the Board - award the contract for one ton truck to The W.E.McWhinnev Co. , :for Ford Truck at price named in their bid-$919. 25. delivered.- Letter from A. C. Underhill et-al in matter of sidewalk on North 191;1 was referred to City Attorney. . . Claims in amount of-$2530. 4-3 were allowed.
