Thursday March llth, 1926:
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session in the office of said Board Thursday March llth,
1926, at 9 o 'cllck A. M. All the members Messrs, Land, McFa.il and
Henley being present . The folllwing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 790-1926, for improvement
of alley between North 13th & 14th Street, by constructing cement
roadway, from North "B" to "C" Street. A remonstrance having been
filed against said improvement, the Board referred the same to the
City Engineer for investigation and report.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement; Resolution No. 791-1926, for the improve-
ment of North "B" Street, by constructing cement sidewalks 5 ' wide
and curb & gutter on both sides of street, from North 12th to 15th
Street. After hearing all persons interested who appeared. The Board
decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for
said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the
City Civil Engineer and thereupon take final action, the resolution
being confirmed without modification.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is •
is affected by the improvement of Southwest 5th Street, by construct-
ing cement sidewalks 51 wide, curb & gutters, planting of trees on
both sides of street, grading & paving the roadway with surface k± •
treated macadam, from Southwest "0" to "E" Street, under Improvement
Resolution No. 792-1926. After hearing all persons interested who
appeared. The Board decides that the benefits to the property liable
to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same
as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final
action' on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modi-
fication.
The Board thet to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily as-
sessed under Declaratory Resolution No.193-1926, for vacation of
South 7th Street,from South "M" to "N" Street, No one remonstrating
the Board confirm all former action taken in said matter, and ap-
proved a final assessment roll of benefits & damages, and now direct
the same be transmitted to the Department of Finance.
The Board approved primary assessment under Declaratory Resolution
No. 195-1926, for condemnation of right -of :way for sewer between
South 6th Street & Garden Ave, from 1st alley south of South"E" St.
to C. & 0. Railroad Co. right of way.
Claims in amount of 7600.45 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
