The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday March 4th 1926, at 9 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, McFail and Henley being present ; Mr. Land, absent. Two members of said Board being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wits V The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under improvement Resolution No. 7£58-1926, for con struction of cement sidewalks on south side of W.Main Street, fromi 111 SW. th to llth Street, also, planting of trees, after hearing all persons interested who appeared and carefully considering the request that property owners be allowed to plant their own trees The Board decide that the benefits to property -liable to be as- sessed for said improvement- are equal to the cost of same as es- timated by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon take final action • on said resolution, the same being confirmed, J The Board -met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected by the improvement of Richmond Avenue, by constructing cement sidewalks 6' wide on;both sides thereof, except, where ce- ment sidewalks in good condition are already laid, as provided for under Improvement Resolution No. 789-1926. A remonstrance having been filed the same was referred to the City Civil Engineer for investigation and report. • The Board approved the resolution adopted by the Common Council in matter of paving the Commons Road from East Haven Ave. west under Three-Mile-Road Law. The Board approved the contract & bond of the Hayes Construction Co. , of Indianapolis, Indiana. for furnishing and applying on the city streets 20,000 gallons more or less of Tar. The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for auto chassis for use of Engineering Department. The Board issue contractors certificate 10 Carter Electric Co. , in sum of $1200.00, making a total of 85 0 of contract which was reported completed, and assessment roll ordered under Improve- ment Resolutions No's. 780-781 & 783-1925, for Ornamental Lights in Main Street, from 3rd Streetto Bridge, South 5th & 6th Streets from Main to South "A" Street. A petition for paving with concrete, the alley known as South- west "C" Street, from 2nd to 3rd Street, was received and re- ferred to Engineering Department. • • The Board then adjourned, re t. of Board Attest: �� , ° 7�� Clerk of Board 1
