Liessrs , Land , McFail and -Henley being present . The following
- proceedings were had- , to-wit : -

ermissi on was granted Colvin w Co. , to take up brick in worth
9th Street , for fencing in the new theatre ku.ildin '- under con-
structi on at corner of hairs & North 9th Street.
The Board ordered fire- hydrant at West 5th & Southwest "A" Street ,
also , to discontinue the fi re hydrant on south side of National
itoad , between West 5th Str eet and College Avenue .

The Board enter into contract with. the Varney Electrical Supply
Co. , for Westinghouse Transformers , for _year.
•
The Board referred the matter of re-vising the Building Code
to the ComMon Council.
•
Claims in sum of 14 ,900.40 were all owed.

. pointed by His Honor L. A. Handley, Mayor of said City, having
duly qualified on January 4th, 1926, as such officers , met for
organization at the offi ce of said. Board. Thursday January 7th,
1926, at 9 o' clock A. M. Messrs , Walker E. Land , Frank R. McFail
and Robert M. Henley , composing said. Board , all being present .
• The following proceedings were had , to-wit
Walker E. Land , was 'again selected as president of Board .
The Board proceedi'd to confi rm the appointments , made by them on
January 4th, 1926 , .of the several persons named as follows , viz:

Assistant Chief of Fire Department Harry Williams
Street Commissioner Chas. H. Lyons •
Eup` t of M.E.L.& P. P. D. C . Hess

Recommend ed by the Board of Public Health and appointed by said.

The Board appointed Chas. Morrison a member of fire department
upon the recommendation of Chief Miller.
Fry & Pohlmeyer, were granted permission to cut the curb at S .E.
corner of South 14th & "E" Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 193-192E
to vacate South 7th Street , from South "M" to "N Street . .
The Board then adjourned ,
