Thursday January, 7th , 1926.
The- Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , ap- •
. pointed by His Honor L. A. Handley, Mayor off said City, having
duly, qualified on January 4th, 1926, as such officers , met for
organization at the office of said Board Thursday January 7th,
1926, at 9 O' clock A. M.' Messrs ,- Walker E. Land , Frank R. McFall
and Robert M. Henley, composing said Board , all being present .
• The following. proceedings were had , to-wit : .
Walker E. Land , was .again selected as president of Board .
The. Board proceedi?d to confiim the appointments , made by them on
January 4th, 1926 ; .of the several persons named as follows , viz:
Chief of Fire Department -- ----- Edgar E. killer
• Assistant Chief of Fire Department Harry Williams
Street Commissioner Chas. M. Lyons •

Recommended by the Board of Public Health and appointed by said
Board of Works ;
Dairy Inspe ctor Clement Heck
Meat Inspector Edward Elstro
Sanitary Inspector W. W. Keen
The- Board appointed Chas. Morrison a member of fire department
upon the recommendation of Chief Miller.
Fry & Pohlmeyer, were granted permission to cut the curb at S.E.
corner of South 14th & "E" Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 193-192E
-to vacate South 7th Street , from South "M" to "N"- Street .

llth , 1924, at 9 0' clock A. H. All the members of said Board
Messrs , wand , McFall and Henley being present . The following
proceedings were had , to-wit : - •

Permission was granted _Colvin & Co. , to take up brick in North
9th street , for fencing in the new theatre building under con-
struction at corner of Main & North 9th Street.
The Board ordered fire hydrant at West 5th 8, Southwest "A" Street ,
also , to discontinue the fi re hydrant on south side of National
road , between West 5th Street and Coll ege Avenue .
The Board enter into contract with the Varney -Electrical Supply
Co. , for Westinghouse Transformers-, for year. •

The Board referred the matter _of re-vi sing the Building Code
to the Common Council
Claims in sum of j14 ,900.40 were allowed.
