The Board of Public Works of -the City of hichmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the- office of said Board Monday January 4.th
1926, at 9 o' clock A. M.' All the members of said Board. Messrs ,
Land , McFai.1 and Henley being present . The following "proceedings
were had , to-wit : •

Upon the recommendation of Fire Chief E. E. Miller, the Board award- -
ed the contract for fire hose under .bids received December 31st ,
1925 , as follows : .
"Eureka Fire Hose , Co. , Chicago , Ill. ,
500 feet of Trojan Double Jacket Hose- - 1.30 foot .
"The Bi-Lateral Fire Hose Co. , Chicago , Ill. ,
500 feet of ndealaDouhleridabkdt - Tr-:r :?rr a---- 1.3B "
" Boston Woven Hose & Rubber Co. , Dayton, Ohio, agency
500' feet of Bay State Brand D. J. less 2% 10 days----djl.30 "
The• Board signed agreement with A. W. Brayton, Jr., whereby said
Brayton agrees to make a landscape layout' plan Of the development
• of Light Plant grounds , arid also agree wi thcut add iti onal charge ,
to rake some plans of small parks about the city; mainly Zwicker
Park, 10th St.• Park, West 7th St. Park, Playground , Davis Corner
and Clear Creek park, the 'City to furnish a ground - plan of Light
Plant ' s area, for flat sum of $.1,000.00. (See agreement )
The Board select J. F. Davenport , Jacob Lichtenfels and Jesse A.
Bailey to appraise grourid neoesse,ry to widen , open and vacate •
streets 8: alleys . .

Notice was -received from Public Service Commgssion of Indiana,
notifying the city of hearing on January 25th , 1926 , at state
House , in matter of petition of the Indiana Red Ball Lines , Inc . ,
for permission to increase rates.
•
. The Clerk was_ directed to notify O. G.Whelan, Himes .Bros. , - and
Feltman Cigar Store building , to repair sidewalks South 6th
Street adjacent to their properties.
•
The Finance Department was directed to pay 5 0• due less $15 .00
to Z.B.Pyle Co. , under Imp. hes. 742-1924.

The Board of Public Vrorks of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
. in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday December
31st , 1926 , at 9 o` clock. A. H. An the members of said Board ,
Messrs , Land , McFa.il and Henley being present. The following pro-
ceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board unanimously adopted Imp"rpvement Resolution No. 785-1925.
for improvement of property between South 6th Street and Garden
Avenue , by construction of Sanitary Sewer from Garden .Avenue in
1st alley, south of South " ," Street east tt east line of Lot 5,.

The Board received bids for 1500 feet of Cotton Rubber Lined 2k"
fire hose as follows, to-wit :

All bids submitted to Fire Chief for investigation and report
and recommendation. Clerk directed to write Da.yton, Ohio , and
ascertain if possible , results from hose purchased by them from
Manhattan Rubber Mfg . Co. ,--
The Clerk was directed to notify heads of various city depart-
. . menu , that all purchases for various departments , must be made
• thru R. Stevens purchasing agent , otherwise bills will not be
approved by- the Board .
Claims in sum of t19 , 689.39 were allowed, payrolls to Jan. 1st ,
approved.
The Board then adjourned ,
