HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-21-1925 298 Office of the Board of Public Works, City of Richmond , Indiana; Monday December 21st ,1925 . • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met • in regular sessi on at the office of said Board Monday December 21st, 1925 , at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs, Land , McPail arid_ Henley being present . The following proceedings were had , to-wit: - The Board. received Deed from Roxana Petroleum Corporation, to a • strip of ground. 5' wide off of south side of Lot No.: 36 , J.Cox,Add . for widening of North "A" Street, from 6th Street west, ordered same recorded. The Board received communication from Sup 't. Ross, of bastern Indi- ana Hospital for Insane , stating there Board could not at this time - furnish any information as to their need of , or of helping the City to . install a water main in Last Haven Avenue . The Board approved the plain of City Engineer, for bridge in South 9th Street , crossing the C . & 0. Railroad.. . The Board granted permission to Dr. M. F: Johnston, . to cut ' down & remove tree in front of his premises North. 10th & "A" Street. The Board received bids under Improvement Resolution No.784-1925, for sanitary sewer in alley between South 8th & 9th Street, from South "L" to "M" Street , as follows to-wit : " Z. B. Pyle & Co . , bid ; - Sewer complete - ; 6.75 per linear foot. • The bid being above the Engineers estimate , contract not awarded. The Board accepted the contract for ornamental lights in South 18th 19th, 20th. & 21st Streets, from Reeveston Road to South "E" Street , and ordered assessment roll prepared. • The Board held conference with Mrs. U. Stanton and attorney H.U. Johnson in mater of widening of North "A" Street at her property. • • The Board then adjourned, . e -r of Board Attest : e r o ca r d 297 Off`i ce of Board of Public Works , City of Richmond , Indiana, Thursday Decerabe r 17th_ , 1925. • The Board of Public Works • of the City of nichmond , Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday December 17th, 1925, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs, Larid , 'I!ZcF'ai 1 and Henley, being present . The following proceedings were had , to-wit :The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids on 15C0 feet of hose for Fire Department. The Board received bids for furnishing 2 pairs of doors for number 3 Hose House as follows ,to-wit : • "Richmond Dumber Company, bid , $135.00 "Mi11er-.i'Lempe r Company, bid; ---- $65 .00 pair glazed not primed. The beds were referred to Fire Chief & Building 'Inspector for investigation and report. The Board received bids for furnishing one ton truck with equip- • ment for street department as follows , to®wij : " W. E. 1.11cWhinney Company, bid ; One ton Ford. truck, Himico Trans ,aux.low speed gear installed ; water pump, 2 32x6 Pneumatic tires & tubes , Hub-0-meter installed Anthony pressed steel low Docker dump body with stiff leg--; 922 .00 1-ton Ford truck, Ruxsteel axle wi th external brakes ; open steel cab with mirror , water pump, Anthony P.S. low rocker dump body with stiff leg installed- '9755. 75 1-ton Ford truck , Anthony P.S .1w:4 low rocker dump body• with stiff leg ; open steel cab & mirror - 1603.50 " International Harvester Company, bid; One-International 1-ton dump truck 30x5" front cord tires , 32x6" rear cord tires, capacity • of body 1-1/3 yds . $1445.50.
