The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indi ana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday December 7th , 1925, at '9 o' clock A.M. Messrs , McFall and Henley present , Mr. Land absent . Two members of said .Board being present . The . following proceedings were had , to-wit : - The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is . affected under Improvement Resolution No. 784-1925, for construction of sanitary sewer in alley between South 8th & 9th Street, from "L" to "M" Street. No one remonstrating , the Boars• decide that the bene- fits to . the . property to be assessed for said sewer, are equal to the . cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer , and there- upon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. • • The Board met to hear remonstrance if any of persons primarily as- sessed under Improvement Resolution No.773-1925. far cement roadway in the alley between Main & Kinsey Street , from NW. lst to 2nd St. No one remonstrating, the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the original assessment roll as heretofore approved, and nor direct the same be transmitted forthwith to Department of Finance. The Board met to hear remonstrance if any of persons primarily as- sessed under Improvement Resolution No..775-1925, for improvement of SW.1st Street , by cement sidewalks , C.& G. nsphalt street ,from National Road to Southwest "D" Street , no one remonstrating , the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the original as- sessment roll as heretofore approved, and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the. Department of Finance . The Board met to hear remonstrance if any of persons primarily as- sessed under Improvement Resolution No.777-1925, for improvement of South 6th St. by cement curb & gutter both sider, from South "E" to "J" Street, no one remonstrating , the Board approved a final assess- ment roll confirming• the original assessment roll .heretofore approved and now direct the same be transmitted to Department of Finance . The Board met to hear remonstrance if any of persons primarily as- sessed under .Improvement Resolution No. 779 -1925, for improvement of South 6th Street, by cement sidewalks from South"H" to `TJ" St. no nne remonstrating, the Board approved .a final, assessment roll confirming the original assessment roll heretofore approved, and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the Lepartment of Finance. • The Board enter into Lamp contract for the year with The .Woods Electric Company. The Clerk was directed to write the Trustees of eastern Indiana Hospital as to co-operation for larger water main in Fast uaven Ave. Claims in amount of $14 ,072 .44 were allowed & ordered paid. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular sessi on at the office of said Board Thursday December 3rd ; 1925, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had , to-wit : - The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons assessed for the vacation of the alley between North 22nd & 23rd Street , from North "D" Street north to the alley running east & west, as provid- ed under Declaratory Resolution No. 192-1925. After hearing all persons interested who, appeared and carefully considering a verbal remonstrance made by J. Connor as to the amount of benefits assess- , ed against his property, as said Mr. Connor signed the original petition for said vacation, the Board overruled his objections and _ on motion confirm all former action heretofore taken in said mat- ter and approved the final assessment roll of benefits 8: damages and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance , and thereupon declare said alley vacated as above set forth. The Board directed the Buildi ng Inspector to issue permit for in- stalling celler doors insidewalk on Ft— ayne Ave , at 187 & 189 . A petition for fire alarm box on New Paris Pike was received and referred to Fire Chief fcr investigation & report. A petition for improving South 22nd Stre et , by cement sidewalks , curb , gutters, parkways;• also grading & paving the roadway with Sheet Asphalt ; Rock Asphalt ; Bituminous na ca darn or Concrete , and planting of shade trees from South "B" Street to Reeve ston Road was recei aed , arid referred to Engineer for plans , etc. , • A protest was received over the telephone , from Ed. namler and Dr. Mann, property owners in South 18th Street , protesting against the removal of trees in good condition already planted by afore- said in front of their property, taken under advisement . The Board approved the various payrolls up to December 1st, 1925. The Clerk was directed to notify Richmond Home Telephone Co. to remove the guy wire , in rear of 712 North 17th Street.
