The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond ,' Indiana , met
in regular -session at the office of said Board Thursday November
12th ,- 1925 , at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board
Messrs , Land, McFall and Henley being present`. The 'following
. proceedings were had , to-wit : -
y The Board received communication from Richmond City +ater Works
reporting the inadvisability of laying water main in South .5th
- Street, from South "N" to "Q" Street , at this time on account of
condition of street. •
The Board received estimate fcr furnishing labor & material neces-
sary to make repairs on the trusses arid put them in good- condit-
ion on both bridges in .Happy Hollow for the sum of ;p4500.00,
the Board after some discussion decide to take up this question
with the Common Counci 1.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.784-1925
for the construction of anitary Sewer in the alley between South -
8th & 9th Street, from South "L" to "M" Street.
The City Civi-l •En_gineer reported the completion of contracts un-
der Improvement Resolution 773-1925 , also , under Improvement Reso-
lution No. 777-1925.

The Board directed the Finance Department to pay the various 5%
reserves held under contracts and resolutions to the following
named contractors as follows, to-wit : -

Upon the recommendation of Mr. Hess, Sup' t. , of M.E.L.
the Board awarded the contract for installing Ornamental Light-
- ing System in . streets, specified under Improvement Resolution
No' s. 780-781 & 783-1925, to Carter Electric Company, Inc . , of
Kokomo , Indi ana�, at the price named . in their bid submitted there.-
-fore , to-wit ; 5,506.80, specifying Westdrhouse Electric Gable
7000 volt with spiral v.ound steel tape .020 steel. -

The Board of 'Public glrorks of the City of hi chmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday November
9th , 1925 , at 9 o' clock A. DI. All the - members of said Board, Messrs .
Land , McFail and Henley being present The following proceedings
were had , to-wit : -

The city Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
Improvement .resolution No ., 775-1925. for the improvement of South-
• west 1st Street, by cement sidewalks , curb & gutter and paving the
• roadway with sisDhalt , from National i oad to Southwest "D" Street .
_ The Board acc epted the same , together with a maintenance bond in
the sum of 20% of the aggregate cost of said improvement fcr -3 years
filed by The .ndrews Asphalt raving Co. ,
The City Civil Engineer reported the complet ion of contract under
Improvement iesolutiori No. 779 -1925, for the construction of cement
'sidewalks on South 6th Street , from South "H" to "J" Street.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons interested
or whose property is affected by the vacaticon of the alley. between
North 22nd & 23rd- Street, from North "D" Street , north to the alley
running east & west. No one appearing or remonstrating against said
vacation. The Board confirmed said resoluticn, and na°:: order a list
o_^ roll prepared of all property holders beneficially affected which
list or roll shall also describe the property injuriously affected.
The Board granted permissicn to J. F. Hornaday to cut the curb on
South "D" Street , at Lot No. 7 , C. T.Prices , Addition.
A petition was presented for the _construction of sewer in the alley
between South 8th & 9th Street , from South "L" to "M" Street , same
was referred to Engineer for plans etc. ,
The Board received bids for the improvement of Main Street, South 5th
and South 6th Streets; from Main Street bridge to 3rd Street, and fret
Main to South "A" Street , by the erecticn and installation of orna-
mental lighting system and posts •on said streets , complete as pro-
vided under Improvement resolutions No. 780-781 & 783-1925 as fdIbms

The bids were eeferred to Suptt. of Light Plant for investigation
and report .

The Board directed the finance Department to pay to John F. Hipskin
contractor reserves under Improvement Nes:oluti.en No. 720-1924,
'527 .75 , 721-19241351.66, 737-1924-4180 . 13, 743-1924--01080.93.
Claims in amount of 11,468 .89 were allowed .
