Monday October 12th, 1925>.
The 'Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday October 12th,
1925 , at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs ,
Land , McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit : - -
The Board received Quit-Claim Deed, from Leo J. Vogelman et-al
conveying to the City of Richmond , Indiana, a strip of ground
(85. 20 ' ) in width off of the entire north sid.e of Lot No. 8 , in
I. Bennett' s , Out-lots to the City. the same was accepted by the
Board and Clerk directed to express the thanks of the Board for
same. -
The Board received bids for furnishing printed supplies for use of
the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant , as per specifications
as follows ;
" The J. M. Coe Printing Co. , bid ;-
Forms ;7-8-9-52-26-58-5-61-55-31 & 16 total bid 0212 .75
" Nicholson Printing Company, bid ;
Forms ; 7-8-9-52-26-58-5-61-55=31 &- 16 , total bid 0213.75
The bids were referred to Municipal Electric Lighting & Power
Plant , for investigation and report.
The Board direct the Richmond City Vater Works , to lay 6" mains in
Charles Avenue , from National Road to Main Street and in Main Street
from Charles Avenue to East Haven Avenue . Fire Hydrants to be set
under the supervision of Fire Chief .
The Board direct the Finance Department , to pay the following 5%
due to contractors named, to-wit :
Res. 728 --1924, Schnieder Bros, amount 4)43.39 :
" 7 24-1 9 224 , Z .B.Pyle '& Co. " 0202.07 ;
" 649 -1922, D. G.Burkhardt amt . 0677.49; lles. 703-amt. ; 110.90
" 746-1924 , amt. 27 .26 ; 748 -1924 amt. 0155.94

Thursday" October 15th , 1925.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session' at the office of said Board Thursday October 15th ,
1925, at 9 of clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs ,Land ,
McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had ,
to-wit : -
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 192-1925
for the vacation of the alley between North 22nd & 23rd Street,from
North "D" Str eet , north to the alley running east & west .
The Board accepted contracts under Improvement Resolution No. 753 80
754-1925, for the improvement of South 19th and 20th Stre ets , respect -
ively, from Reeveston Road to South "E" Street , and approved primary
assessment rolls for said improvements .
The Board received bids , for planting of trees in certain streets
as follows , to-wit :
Improvement Resolution No. 764-1925, Reeveston Road., from South 18th
to 23rd Street ;
Improvement Resolution No. 765-1925, South 18th Street , from South
"B" to "E" Street;
Improvement Resolution No. 766-1925 , ' South 19th Stre et , from South
"B" St. to Re eve ston Road.
Improvement Resolution No. 767-1925, South 21st Street, from South
"B" to "E" Street.
"W. L. Magaw, bid; on each of the above streets as follows, to-wit : -
Red. Oak trees ( each) ;ipL5.00, American Elm trees (.Each) 55.00.
The bid of W. L. Magaw being the only bid received and being within
the estimate of the City Civil Engineer, the contract was so awarded
the Board specifying Red Oak trees on Reeveston Road ; American
Elm trees on each of the other streets above stated.
The Board ordered two open cabs , for trucks of the street department
from the W. E. Mcwhinney Co. , at price of 66. 75 each.
The Clerk was directed to notify Hayes Construction Co. , J.L. Teegarden
& J.F.Hipsk ind contractors, for improvement of South 20th Street
from South "B" to Reeveston Road ; Richmond Ave . 5th to Sedgwick St.
National Road , SW. lst to 2nd Street , to plant the trees under their
contracts with the City by November 1st , 1925.
The Board continued hearing on assessment roll in matter of opening •
Lucky Drive to October 22nd , 1925, and direct the Clerk to Notify
Mr. S.K.Morgan , the Board were ready to accept his plat for addit ion
in Lucky Drive , if he will comply with the request- of the City Plan
Commission, by setting his building lines at 35 ft. instead of 25ft.
