Thursday ,,eptember 3rd, 1925 .
The Boar:- of Public. Works of the City of rlichmond , Indiana , met in
regular. session at the office of said Board Thursday September 3rd ,
1925 , at 9 o' clock A. M. The following members of said Board being
present , viz : Messrs , i?al ai l and Henley, absent , Mr. Land. Two
members being present . The following proceedings were had , to-wit :
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected by the construction of Sanitary Sewer in the 1st alley west
_ of South 9th Street , from South "H" to "T.," Street, under Improvement
.Llesolution No. 782-1925, J.L.Bode of the South Side Improvement -=ssn.
requested the Board to postpone action until Thursday September- 10th
_ The Board_ continued hearing on said resolution to Thursday Sep. 10th
1925 .
The Board ordered the Lichmond City eater Works , to lay 6" water
main in the foil o7/7ir named str eets , South 21st Street., between
neeveston Load & South "L" Street; Southwest 5th Street, from South--
west "C" street, south to provide for Lot No. 20 , Home Seekers , Add.
approximately 250 ft .
In Satter of petition for fire hydrant at 18th South "B" Streets,
The Fire Chief, recommended_that the petition be filed until more
buildings are erected in this vi omit,.
Fire Chief -Miller, reported the resignation of -Raymond Daugherty as
member of Fire Department , on motion the same was accepted.
In matter o-- hearing of final assessment -rolls and av:ard of damages
on account of vddening South "J" Street, from South 9th Street east
to center line of ^�ection4 , under Declaratory "esolutions No. 188 &
189-1925, continued to Monday Sep, '7 , 1925, was continued to Thurs-
day Sep. 10, 1925 on account of Monday being Labor Bay.
On motion the Board decided that as Monday Sep. 7th , 192.5, was a
legal hollid.ay or -arbor Lay, there would be no meeting on said date
and adjourned to meet Thursday ceptember 10th , 1925.

The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday September
10th , 19.25, at 9 o' clock A.M. All the members of said Board ,Messrs ,
Land, McFall and Henley being present , the following proceedings
were had , to-wit :-
Permission was granted Mildred Craig to cut the curb at 105 N.W.
7th Street .
Pursuant to continuance to this date., the Board met to hear remon-
strances, against the widening of South "J" Street from ,South 9th
Street east under Declaratory Resolutions No. 188 & 189-1925, no
written report having been received from the City Attorney, in re-
ference to remonstrance filed against award of damages & assessment
of benefits to the Fihe estate. The Board continued hearing on
said resolutions 'to September 17th, 1925.
The Clerk reported various complaints from City Council referred
to the Board . The Board ordered light placed at West Main & 6th St.
Pursuant to continuance to this date. The Board met to hear remon-
strance if any, of persons interested or whose property is affected
under Improvement tesolution .No. 782-1925 , for the construction of
a sanitary sewer in lst alley west of South 9th Street, from South
"H" to "L" Street. No one remonstrating the Board decides that the
benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement
are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer
and thereupon takes final action on said resolution. The same being
confirmed without modification.
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
- Improvement Resolution No. 778-1925 , for the improvement of the al-
ley Ietween South llth & 12th Street , by constructing a cement road-
way from South "E" to "F" Street .
The Board granted permission to C. Brown, for a Republican State ,
keeting to be held in Glen Miller Bark Thursday September 24,1925.
The Clerk was directed to notify W.F.Graves Engineer of T.H. I.& E.
Trac. Co. , to repair the flour on Doran Bridge , in & along the com-
pany' s tracks .
Upon the recommendation of the mayor, the "oard direct the M.E.L.&
P.P. to furnish material , labor and electric current for the Wayne
County Fair Association for the coming fair , with the understanding
that the association is to pay for such work & service , and that no
such service will be furnished in the future unless the bill for this
years fair is paid , and that he would assume the responsibility.
Claims in amount of $13, 344.'78 were allowed & ordered paid.
The Board then adj ourned,
