A remonstrance signed by Leo H. Pihe et-al , heirs to the Caroline ifihe estate , having been filed against ' said assessment of benefits and • awarding of damages , claiming no benefits • and damages in sup: of ;1;225 . r�', the Board after discussing the matter with :1iss.rihe , continued said hearing until Monfay,. Sep- tember 7 , 1925, and referred the tame to City Attorney. • The Board met to hear remonstrances of persons primarily assessed & damages awarded t'n the matte r of widening of South "J" St re et , frDm South 13th Stye et, east to center line of Section 4., Tp. 13 , i r_ge. 1 , west , under Declaratory hesolution No. 189-1925. A remonstrance - be ing filed by Leo H. Fihe , et-al , heirs to Caroline Fihe estate , - aF,ainst award of damages made against their property in sum of \Vi e.95 , claiming they are damaged. to the amount of ;;223. 20. , as follows , loss of hedge 19.00; cost of new fence N105. 2C, ground , 100.00. after revi the same the Board continued hearing on final assessment rail to Ttionday Sep. 7 , 1925 , and referred matter to City Attcrney. A petition to improve the alley be tw een North 11th 12th Street by constructing a cement road.'ay from Borth "A" Street to 1st alley north of Street , was received and referred to City Lngineer for plans. A petition signed by S'irn Jaffe and G.hh. Bar.ry Surrit . of Pensy.itail-- road Co. to vacate that part of North 10th Street north of the main track of said rai lroad company to the south line of Pool St. was received and taken under advisement. In matter of agreements and 'deeds to property l:yrine on north side .of Borth "A" Street from 5th to 6th Street , the same were refered beck to the City Attorney, wi th instructions to prepare separate agreements for each piece of property in duplicate.. The fallow ing proce edi ngs were had , to-wit : - ' • The Board of Public 'Works of the City of ill chmond, met to hear all • persons interested or whose property is assessed under Improvement itesoluti.on No. 756 -1925 , for the improvement of assessed., avenue by paving the roadway with concrete, from Northwest 5th to Sedgwi_ck Street. ido one arrearing or remonstrating , the Board approved a ' f inal assessment roll c•onfi rming the on ginal assessment roll as heretofore approved and now direct the same be transmitted. The Board met to hear remonstrance• if' any, of -e rsons primarily assessed under Improvement i\esolution No. 766 -1925 , for the im-- provement of North 14th Street , by constructing cement sidewalks on both sides from North "F" to "J" Street. No one appear ing or remonstrating the Board approved a final assessment roll confirm- ing: the original assessment roll heretofore apnroved4 and now di- rect the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of finance . . The 'Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily as- sessed under Improvement =lesolution No. 776-1925, for the improve- merit of the alley between State & Williams Street, by constructing a cement roadway, from Boyer to Northwest 2nd Stre et. No one appear- ing or remonstrating the Board apr roved a final assessment roll con- firming the original assessment roll as heretofore approved and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the department of Finance, The Board approved a primary assessment roll under Declaratory i-heso- - lution No. 190-1925, for the opening of the alley between North 6th . & 7th Street , from let all ey south of North "C" Stre et to North "C" Street. and fix September 24th , 1925 , at 9 o' clock A.I.I. as a time & • date for hearing remonstrances on same . The Board granted permission to close South "A" Street from 22nd to 23rd Street & .South 23rd Stre et 'between Main & "A" Street, during the holding of the ayne County fair , if consent is obtained from Police Commissioners .
