The Board of Public V orks of the City of Aichmond ., Indiana, met in regular session at® the office of said Board Thursday nagusi 27th , 1925 , at 9 o'clock A. i. All the members of said- Board , hessrs , Land , T: c2ai 1 and Henley be ing _present . The foil ow ing proce edi ngs . were had , to-wit • The Board of Public Works of the City of ilichmond, met to hear all • i . - persons interested or whose property is assessed under Improveme"; tesoluti on No. 758 -1925, for the improvement of i;ichmond Avenue by paving the roadway with concrete, from Northwest 5th to Sedgwi ck :street. •No one appearing or remonstrating , the Board approved a final assessment roll ccnfi ring the on ednal assessment roll as heretofore approved and now direct the same be transmitted 'forth- with to the Jerart men of i i nonce . The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of -e rsons 'primarily assessed under Improvement resolution No. r/68 - 1925 , for the im-- provement of North 14th Street , by constructing cement sidewalks on both sides from North "Fs' to "J" Street. No one appearing or remonstrating the Board approved a final assessment roll confirm- ing the original assessment roll heretofore_ approved t and now di- rect the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance . The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily as- sessed under Improvement i-.esolution No. 776-192'5, for the improve- ment of the alley between Sta to & Williams Street, by constructing a cement roadway, from Boyer to Northwest 2nd Street. No one appear- ing or remonstrating the Board apr roved a final assessment roll con- firming the original assessment roll as heretofore- approved and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the -uepartm_ent of Finance, The Board approved a primary assessment roll under Declaratory peso luti on No. 190-1925, for the opening of the alley between North 6th . & 7th Street , from 1st alley south of North "C" Street to North "C" Street. and. fix September 24th , 192.5 , at 9 o' clock A.M. as a time E: date for hearing remonstrances on same . The Board granted permission to close South "A" Stre et from 22nd to 23rd Street & .South turd Stre et between Main & "A" Street, d.uri ng the holding of the Y,a.-iyne County Fair , if consent is obtained from Police Commissioners . r The Board then adjourned , rest . of Board ___e4--- -bC'Iri- nttost : . The follow ing proceedings were had , to-wit : - The Board met to hear remonstrance of persons primarily assessed & damages awarded in the matter , of the widening of South "J" Street from South 9th to east line of south 1Zith Street, under ec.lara, -- tory Ltiesolution No. 188-1925. A remonstrance signed by Leo H. Fihe et-al , heirs to the Caroline the estate , having been filed agai nst said assessment of benefits and awarding of damages , claiming no benefits , and damages in surer of 225 . `'20, the Board after discussing the matter with Miss. 'ihe , continued said hearing until Monday. Sep- tecber 7 , 192.5, and referred the tame to City Attorney. The Board met to hear, remonstrances of persons primarily assessed & damages awarded in the matter of wide ning of South "J" Street , from South 13th Stre et , east to center line of Section 4 , Tp. 13 , tinge. 1 , west , under .Declaratory. :.resolution No. 189-1925. A remonstrance - be ing fi led by Leo H. Fihe , et-al , heirs to Caroline Pihe estate , - against award of damages made against their property in sum of ;4G.95, clai ming they are. damaged to the amount of '223.20, zv follows , loss of hedge 413.00 ; cost of new fence 105. 20, ground 4100.00. after revi evsing the same the 3cand continued hearing on final assessment roll to Monday Sep. 7 , 192: , and referred matter to City Attorney. • A petition to improve the alley between North 11th L 12th Stre et by constr ucti.ng a cement roadway from North "A" Street to 1st alley north of plain Street , was received and referred to City Engineer for plans. A petition signed by Sam Jaffe and G.IM.Ear.ry Sup-it . of Pensy.i.ai1-- road Co. to vacate that part of North 10th Street , north of the main track of said rai Thread company to the south li cue of Pool St. was received and taken under advi sement. In matter of agreements and 'deeds to property lyi ng on north side • of North "A" Street from 5th to 6th Street , the same were refered back to the City Attorney, v.i th instructions to prepare separate agreements for each niece of property in duplicate.. The Board proved the various payrolls to Aug. 31 , 1925, inc . , Claims in amount of N15 , 236 ./15 were allowed 1 ordered paid.
