Thursday July 23rd , 1925.
The Board of Public Works of' the City of Richmond Indi ana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday July 23rd
--192.5 , 'at 9 o` clock A.M. All the members of said Board , Messr ,Land,
Pie ail and herrley being present . The following proceedings were
had , to-wit : -
The Clerk reported various complaints received at last session of
council and referred to Board , referred to department heads .
The Board met to hear remonstrances and take final action on De-
claratory Resolution No. 190--1925 , for the opening of alley be-
tween North 6th & 7th Street , from North "C" Street -south tv. 1st
alley running east & west . No remonstrance being fi led or present-
- ed to the Board -against s aid opening , thereupon, being duly advi sed
in the ratter, the board takes final action on said resolution, c
confirming , without modi fication, all former action taken on same .
And the Board rrow orders that a list or roll be prepared of all the
owners or holders of property; and of valuable interests therein ,
sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected, which list or
roll shall also-descri be the property beneficially affected.
The Board unanimously-adopted Improvement -Resolution No. 780 -1925
for the improvement of South 6th Street, by erecting & installing
Ornamental Lighting System on both sides of street , from Main to
,South "A" Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Improve mnt Resolution No.781-1925
for the improvement of -ciain Street, by erecting & installing Or-
namental Lighting System on both sides of Street, from Main Street
Bridge to East 3rd Street . •
The Board received bids for improvement of South 6th Street, by
constructing cement curb & gutter( standard width ) on both sides
of street , from South "E" to "J" Street under Improvement Reso-
lui on No. 777-1925 , as follows to-wit
" Z. B. Pyle & Company, bid ;
Straight curb & gutter---- 1.09 lin-ft. Circle curb & gutter, 1. 0ft .
Alley & street intersect ions , 0. 25 per square foot .

Straight curb & gutter TI;1. 18 lin-ft .
Circle curb & gutter--- 1. 30 lin-ft . Intersections 25 so,-ft.

The bid of Z.B.Pyle & Co. , being the lowest & wi thin the esti-
mate of the City Engineer , contract was so awarded.
The Richmond City Water Works ,was directed to relocate the fire
hydrant at North 6th & "A" Street, at the expense of the Roxana
Petroleum Corporation.
The Street Commissioner was directed to construct inlet in vacated
alley End north of S. "E" Street, from S .6th St . east .
Claims in amount of 4 28 ,030 .05 were allowed && ordered paid.
