APPROVING EMERGENCY SEWER LINE REPAIR
WHEREAS, the Borough Director of Engineering and Public Works. John P. DuPont.
P.E.. C.M.E.. P.P., has advised the Governing Body that emergency repairs needed to be
performed on the Borough's singular sanitary sewer force main; and
WHEREAS, the Mr. DuPont has advised that the repairs to correct the failure of the said
force main needed to be performed on an emergent basis to protect the public health and
safety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex. State of New Jersey, that an emergency contract with
B & W Construction to repair the Borough's sanitary sewer force main in the amount of
$743,416.80 is hereby approved subject to the availability of funds as so determined by
the Borough's CFO. Arct. # 7- 01 -31- 465 -299
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Mr.
DuPont and the Borough's Purchasing Department to effectuate the purposes expressed
herein.
