Monday July 20th1;1925.
The Board. of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said. Board Monday July 2Oth,
1925, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs-,
Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had, to -wit :The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 778-19.25, for the improve-
ment of the alley bet 'een South llth & 12th Street, by construct-
ing a cement roadway from South"E" to "F" Street. After hearing all :-
persons interested who appeared. no one remonstrating. The Board
decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for
said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by the
City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said reso-
lution, the same being confirmed without modification.
The Clerk was directed to notify the Standard 0i1 Co., to clean the
dirt from sidewalk at their property at Main & North 19th Streets,
also to cut the weeds on vacant lot at same place.
The Board received petition signed by A. Harsh et-al, 75% of owners
of abutting property on Main Street, from Bridge to 3rd Street , for
Ornamental Lighting Post System on Main Street between the points
named, referred to City Engineer & Sup't . of M.E.L.& P.P. for plans.
The Board redeive d petition signed by Omer G. Whelan et-al. , 75% of
owners of abutting property on South 6th Street from Main to South
"A" Street, for Ornamental Lighting Post System on said 6th Street
from Main to South "A" Street, ' referred to City Engineer, and Sup' t.
of M.E.L.& P. P. for plans , etc . ,
The Board ordered. 2 fire hydrants placed on Southwest 2nd Street , be-
- tween Main & Southwest "D" Street, location to be selected by Fire
Chief.
The City Attorney was d'irected to prepare agreements between the
City, and Mary Weller, Chas. E. Cox & L. Morel, in matter of widen-
ing North "A" Street , from North 5th to 6th Street, also deeds to
the ground to be dedicated to the City for said. widening , - the agree-
ment of L. Morel to:be as of date of (bct . 1, 1925.
Permission was granted Wm. Stedham to cut the curb on west side of
South 23rd Street , at Lot No. 283 neeveston Addition.
The Board received letter from R. Erk, calling attention to condition
of alley in rear of Z09 North 17th Street , caused bt defective work
and requesting the same be attended. to , befidre the 5%o is paid "on the
contract, as the year is about up , referred to Engineer.
The Board authorized a bill for an ordinance appropriating $200 .00
to sundry expense & supplies of Board for year 1925, be prepared and
presented to council.
The Board received letter from Andrews Asphalt raving Co. , stating
they would begin work' on improving SW. let Street, under their con-
- tract , as soon as notice has been received by them, that Water &
Co. , have their mains. and stubs laid in said street.

The Board directed the Finance Department to pay reserves retained
for year under the resolutions named to the following contractors ,
as follows , to -wit : -
