Monday July 13th , 1925.
The Board of Public l oaks of the City of Richmond , Indiana, root
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 13th,
1925, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs,
Land, McFall and Henley , being present. The following proceedings
were had, to-wit : -
The Street Commissioner reported the bridge ofer the Last Fork
I/
of Whitewater River on Bridge Avenue, being in a dangerous con-
dition stating the trusses are broken and the bridge is down ap-
proximately 5 inches. The Board directed the Commissioner to close
the bridge to traffic , barricade the same , and the Sup't . , of
, M.E.L.& P.P. was directed to place red lights on barricades, the
Street Commissioner was also directed to place signs suitable
distance from the bridge , calling attention to the fact that the
bridge is closed until further orders .
The Board fix rate for tapping the sewer in the alley west of
Northwest 8th Street, between Peacock -Road and Richmond Avenue .
fay benefit of property on west side of alley, who were never
assessed for making the sewer at the rate charged to property to
east of alley $0.02698 per square foot of lot .
Under the resolution passed by Common Council , Sup't. , of M.E.L.
& P. P. was directed to place light in the alley 1st north of Main
Street running from North 16th to 17th Street.
The Clerk was directed to write the Board of +ayn_e County Commis-
sioners for ammeeting with the Board in matter of bridges.
The Engineering Department reported that the cost to the City in
making or improving Ridge Street , from State to School Street, .
is approximately $800.00 for C . & G. or for total street complete
$3,000.00.
A communication was received from C . & 0. Ry. Co. , calling attention
to City employees not winding up the dumps on cars of gravel and
stone, and notifying them that this is a dangerous proceedure to
move these cars without the dumps being round up, and for the in-
formation of the city, they will have to cease pulling these cars
until they are put into condition for pulling, and will proceed
to charge car service . Street Commi sioner & Light Plant ordered
notified.
Claims in amount of 47894.42 were allowed & ordered paid.
The Board then adjourned,
