The Board of Publi c Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met •in regular session at the office of said Board Monday June 29th , 1925, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board , Messrs, Land , McFall and Henley being present, the fo ll owing proceedings were had , to-wit : - - - T}[e Board received communication from W.F.Graves,Chief Engineer of the Terre uaute , Indianapolis & Eastern Traction Co., stating that a fire alarm box placed at SW.5th. Stre et and tationai -Road in the vicinity of their car barns, would he a saving to them of 050.00 per year on their Insurance , and they would pay this sum to the City, toward installing box at this point . The Board accepted the proposition, and instructed Fire Chief to install alarm box at this point . A petitioni►aas presented praying for water main extension in South 13th Street, from South "J" to "L" Street *as presented, and taken under advisement for investigation. The Board received petition signed by J.P.Spurlin & 18 others re- questing that Fairview. Heights be annexed to the City , referred to Common Council, without any recommendation from Board . The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under Improvement hesolution •No.757 -1925, for construction of cement sidewalks both sides of Crosshall Street, from Grant to School Street, the Board accepted the same & assessment roll ordered. The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 190-1925 •to open an alley 15' wide,between North 6th & 7th Street , from the first alley south of North "C" Street to North "C" Street. The Board approved the contract & bond of the Andrews Asphalt Paving Co. , under Improvement Resolution No. 775-1925 for im- provement of SW.lst Stre et ,from National Road to SW. "D" Street. . The Board directed the City Controller to pay to C.H.Strebe Plumbing Co. , the amount of y 1,000.00 on heating contract at New Fire Station. Street Commissioner Chas. Lyons , was directed to change the line of sewer crossing the property of Geo. O'Brien on west side of South 23rd Street, in Reeve ston Addition. The C le rk was directed to render bill in sum of $87. 50 to The Richmond Light Heat & Power Co. , for 46' of 18" sewer pipe and labor for placing the same , to the south of Johnson Street , broken by said company in removing cinders with steam shovel . Claims in amount of $4947 .83 were allowed & ordered paid. The Board then adjourned, 27Te Attest : P st. of Board C le r of Board
