Thursday June 25th , • 1925, at 9 o' clock A. i. All the members of said Board. Messrs, Land, NicFai 1 and' Henley being present . The following 'proceedings were • had , to-wit : - • The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of persons primarily as- seddas benefits and damages awarded under Declaratory Resolution No. 186-1925, providing for the vacation of first alley north of South "C" Street from south 4th to 5th Stre et. No one appearing or remon- strating , the Board approved primary assessment roll as heretofore approved, and now direct the same `be . transmitted forthwith to the Department of finance . and the said alley declared to be vacated. • The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.778-1925, to improve the alley between South -11th & 12th Street, by construct- ing cement roadway from South "E" to "F" Street. Mrs . Welbaum appeared before the Beard in natter of sewer backing - up- into her cellar , the Board directed the 6treet Commissioner to • iristallta catch basin in an effort to' eliminate this condition to the sewer in alley between N. "W. 5th & 6th Street , between Pearl & Peacock Road , & to close inlets temporarily. The City Engineer was directed to order five ( 5) drinking fountains • The Board accepted a Maintenance Bond in lieu of 5% of Z.B.Pyte & Co. , contractors under Improvement Resolution No. 763-1925. The Engineer submitted letters from the T.H. I.& E. Traction Co•. , stating they would clean up the alley east of their car barns as complained of to them ; Also, stating they would raise and fill the tracks in Grant Street , using the present rails with the under- • standing that _the ci ty wi 11 oil the sur fac e in the track space as• quickly as possible after the work is finished, in order to prevent loose gravel from derailing the cars , the Board accept the above proposition. • • • Claims in amount of •6419 .49 were allowed and ordered paid. • f • The Board the n a.dj our ned, • • of Board Attest : • E.L.Davis Clerk pro-tern.
