The Board of :Public Works of the City of Richmond, Iud.i aria , met
in regular session at the of±'i ce of said Board Thursday May 21st ,
1925, at 9 o' clock All the members of said Board , Messrs ,
Land , McFall and Henley being present . The foll ing proceedings
' were had , to-wit
The Board met to hear :remonstrances if any, of persons interested
or whose property is affected by the vacation of the 1st alley north
of South "C " Street, from South 4th to 5th Street , under Declaratory
resolution No.186-1925. No one acp earl ng or remonstrating. The Board
being •duly advised in the pr em is es , confirm all former action here-
tofore taken , and now direct that a li st or roll be prepared of all
owners or holders of property affected and of valuable interests
therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected , which list
or roll shall also describe the property benefi cially affected.
The clerk reported various complaints referred to Board from last
session of council of May 18 , 1925.
Fire Chief reported the resignation of Elmer E. Berg member of Hose
Company No. 1, the• same was accepted. _
The Sup' t of Light Fla.nt was directed to move the light on Kinsey
Street, between 1st. & 2nd Street to the corner of West 2nd & Kinsey'
arid. to install light at cornea of That & kinsey Street. =ilso, to
trim the trees in Kinsey St . . from 1st to 5th Street.
The Clerk was directed to adve rti se for bids on One ton truck with
dump body for use of Municipal Electric• Lighting & Power Plant .
The_ Board directed Sup' t . Light Plant to install 6 more lights in
Glen Park on entrance driveway.
The Board direct the Finance Department to pay L. P. Beard Construct-
• Co. , the balance due and held in reserve under Improvement ltesolutthon
No . 640 --1925 , amount 200 .00.
The Board received bids under. Improvement Resolution No. 774 -1925
for improvement of alley between South llth &: 12th Street , by con-
structing cement roadway, from South "G" . to "II" Street , as follows , -
to -wit .

• The bid of Daniel G. Burkhardt, being the lowest and within
the estimate of the City Civil Engineer, the contract was awarded
to Daniel G. Burkhardt .
The Beard received bids , for furnishing all material and labor to
complete brick setting of boi ler at M.: .•L. & P. P. Also for Three
8" triple acting ,non-return ,arigle pattern valves , in connection
with Item 2. the plant have four 6" triple acting, non-return •
valves , which they are offering for sale to highest bidder . ,
