Thur s day May 14th , 1925.
The Board of. Public Works of the City of nichmond, Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday May 14th
1925, at. .9 0' clock A. M. All the members of said Board , Messrs ,
Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit : - - -
Permission was granted A. E. Brooks to construct a cement dri veway
on north side- of North "I" Street , at .Lot 3, 6 . sanders , add. ,
Permission was granted Bridget Slattery to' cut curb at South 10th &
"C" Street on "C" Street side Lot No. 7 , Bickle & Laws , Addition.
Harry Thornburg , County Auditor appeared before the Board , request-
ing the board to recommend app ro pr is ti o n in amount of approximately
• ,; 600.OQ to pay extra cost in his office account of placing property
on city tax duplicate recently annexed to the City , this- matter was
referred to City Attorney , for inve sti gati on and report back to the
Board as to the legality of such appropriation.
• - The Board received communication from Horse Pitchers Asso. , re•cuest -
ing the ' city place lights it Garfield school grounds to be us ed for
pitching shoes after dark. , referred to Sup-rt . , Light Plant .

The Board directed the Street Commissioner to place proper barricade
on east sid e of Southwest 1st Str eat at National hoad, befcrce said
- road is opened to the public , under the supervision of Engineer.
The Board awarded contract to the Ameri cal.', .Federation of Musicians
to furnish 20 musici ans and' eleven concerts in Glen Miller Park
on Sundays from 3 to 5 P.M.= beginning Sunday June 14i 1925, weather
permitting, for the sum of i900 .00, N 800.00 of which is to be paid
by the City. (See contract ) .
The Board approved a plat representing 21 town lots laid out by
E.C . Wright to be known as "Moore land Place , Addition". situate at
Southwest 1st & 2nn adjacent-to Southwest "D". Street .
Claims in amount of 44144 . 26 were allowed & ordered paid .
