The Beard of Public Works of the City • of Richmond lndi ana, met
in regular session at the office of said. Board Monday May 11th ,
925 , a.t 9 o clock A.M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Ladd,
McFail and Henley being present . The fo flowing proceedings were
had, to-wit: - .

The Board approved the contract of John i . Hipskind contractor -un-
der Improvement resolution No. 759 -1925.
The Board approved the contract & bond of John F. Hipskind contract-
or under Improvement Resolution No. 772-1925 .
The Board approved the contract & bond of E. A. Mar iani. & Co. ,
contractor under Improvement iesolution No. 773-1925 .
Fire Chief E. E. Miller, reported that he had suspended Elmer Berg
member of No. , 1 Engine- Co. , for insubordination.
The Board enter into agreement or contract with the Roxana Petrol-
eum Corporation, whereby the city agrees to make North "A" Street
wider. at North 6th Street to the south of Lot No.- 36, Jeremiah Cox -
Addi ti on, owned by said lioxana Co. , the city_ to do all necessary
paving without any expense. to said Company in widening said street_
and in consideration for such work to be done , the said itoxana
Petroleum Cotporati on agree to dedi cate to the city of -Richmond for
Street purposes only Five ( 5' ) foot of ground of the south s id e
cf said Lot No. 36 (See agreement )•
The Board grant permission to Windsor B . Harris , t o cut the curb
on the east side of S.W. 7th Street , at Out- Lot No. 1, Yearly Meet-
ing of Friends , Out -Lots. •
. Upon the recommendation of' Chas. Lyons , Stre et Comm; ssioner,. the
Board award the contract to The McWhinney Co. , for 2 one ton motor
driven trucks , (Fords) . as per their bid of May 7 , .1925.
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract- under
Improvement Resolution No. 759 -1925, for constructing cement side-
walk , curb & gutter on east side of SIN. 2nd St , at Howard Stre et,
The Board direct the Clerk to correspond with Prof. Vi.K.Hatt of
Purdue University, as ascertain from what he can accomplish for
the city in matter of inspection of Doran Bridge . •
Claims in amount ofp14 ,712 .C2 were allowed & ordered paid.
